~~Time FLEW~~

How can it be that when we are in different situations that time can either 'stand still' or 'fly by'??
Well, I don't have the answer to that, but this weekend, I have to say I saw time FLY past at warp speed.

We went to see our oldest son who lives in Eastern NE. He and his wife have our two youngest granddaughters...it had been so long since we had seen them last that they didn't even seem little anymore! That is the BAD part...however, the GOOD part is that their hugs got bigger!! :) There is absolutely nothing in this world like those little arms around your neck with a big big kiss and the words "I love you grammy~!" Pure Bliss.
We didn't really go anywhere while we were there as we could only stay for a bit...this was ok by me!~~ On Saturday night they put in the movie "UP" and my youngest son was on the loveseat, my daughter-in-law and son were in the oversized chair and gramps and I got the long sofa with 3 of our four granddaughters...the only thing that would have made it perfect would have been to have our 3rd granddaughter there. Sadly she had to stay home as she had basketball tournaments.
I realize that for most, this will not be an "exciting read" as a blog entry, but to me it is the BEST!!
My only problem now is that I am back in Wyoming miles from all the ones we adore and missing them already...For now I will relive our visit and look over pictures and play the memories over and over....and over.... :)

  2. Mare, sounds like a blissful weekend to ME! As I get older, I sometimes wish I had kids and grandkids. Just wasn't meant to be for me. I make do with nieces and cats! LOL But I'm delighted you enjoyed yourself so much. Peace...

Nothing like the love of a grandma! I don't
have grandkids yet but am getting into practice with my neice's baby. I take care of her as often as I can and spoil, spoil, spoil!
    Hugs, Beth
