I brought you each a little gift you can find below...what did I do to deserve such good friends?
When I rest a little I will fill you in on my visit at home with mom & dad. Until then, here is a BIG HUG for each of you and a cheek kiss!! MWAH!
Granny, you will have to look closely, but you have a bench overlooking the trees reflecting in the water...very quiet and peaceful.
Annie, for you I brought the geese...they are unique and fun.
Katie...the little squirrel is for you...he appears to have a great sense of humor and a little bit of a tease!
The sunflowers are for all the "peekers" who stopped by and took a look while I was gone.
Love you all for your help and posts while I was gone..thanks again
Thank you so much, glad you are back home safe and sound. We did miss you a bunch!

Hi GRANNIE LOU! HI ANNIE!
Katie
KATHIE, I AGREE, THIS BACKGROUND IS SO PRETTY.I LOVE THE HEARTS. KATHY,DO YOU HAVE A BLOG. I'VE NEVER ASKED.
ReplyDeleteGRANNY
Hi Katie WASSUP?
ReplyDeleteHi Mare and Hi Granny - My granddaughter came over with the baby today. I haven't seen them since last Mother's day, she has really grown. It was fun getting to play with her. She fell asleep in my arms, Anna said she has never done that before. I told her I was a Baby Whisperer. Hope you both are having a great sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Still trying to catch up on laundry, cleaning and still sorting (from moving here) also some yard work (and a nap or two thrown in!!) Think I was physically AND mentally exhausted when I got back!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to see your great grandbaby Annie. Is anything better than holding your "own" little ones?? :)
Granny, I try to love them as much as I can...and help and support. I know it isn't easy for them and they don't agree on everything (like if they should move or not)
Katie, help yourself to a few of the sunflowers! I took the pictures above around town when I was at my folks...the little squirrel was looking at me through their screened patio door. (did you find the special treasures yet that are "buried" in the music room??")
Talk to you all later...
mare
Mare, I'm ashamed to say I have yet to bring up a box from the music room to unpack. Tuesday I am housebound all afternoon so I'll do my best to remember to do that. I keep forgetting! LOL
ReplyDeleteGRANNY LOU, NO I DON'T HAVE A BLOG. I STARTED ONE ONCE WITH THE INTENT OF DESCRIBING TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED DEPRESSION EXACTLY WHAT IT FEELS LIKE AND WHAT IT'S LIKE TO LIVE WITH IT DAY IN AND DAY OUT. BUT THE BLOG WAS TOO DEPRESSING! ROFL I SCRAPPED IT. NOT MUCH FOR ME TO WRITE ABOUT, REALLY RIGHT NOW. PERHAPS SOMEDAY I'LL START ONE AGAIN.
Annie, not much is up! LOL Every Sunday my hubster and I go to his elderly mom's house to run errands for her, do some of her "to do" list and generally do whatever needs doing. It's quite often unpleasant (lest you think I have a real good heart or something -- LOL) because she is a cranky, demanding, unappreciative woman. I show her love anyway.
ReplyDeleteThis coming week won't have much of interest to it. I'm going to meet up with some folks for whom I might agree to volunteer for a while. And I'll be preparing to go away a week from Thursday, so that will take some prep.
And that's about it! LOL
Just got back a while ago from taking hubby for back injections. They seem to be giving him some relief...and the drugs they use to do it aren't bad either!! He is sleeping them off right now.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I agree, about writing about depression...TOO DEPRESSING...I have a theory that ALL water systems need to be laced with Effexor! Anxiety is rampant in our family as well and that is a hard one also.
You know, if I didn't want to clear out our storage shed (cuz we're too cheap to pay for a house for our "junk") I don't know how well I would be doing on sorting. Did stop with another load to go to Good Will. I'm just "over" my stuff. I am, however, sorting off my "treasures" and they will have a display home..not sure what yet, still looking and contemplating, but if they are enough treasure to keep, I need to display them (that is what I need to do for me anyway, everyone is different, I'm sure.)
Hope you are all having a reprieve from the heat...was overcast this a.m. but sun is out now (which is good cuz the dryer is still down, and I am hanging out clothes...annie, since we can have clotheslines here, you want to come over and help??)
Enjoy your day everyone!
mare
If I were close I'd be there in a flash. I think 1963 was the last place where I had a clothesline. I wonder if they can be grandfathered in in cities where it is now against the law?
ReplyDeleteSorry, Granny, for no emails... I am power reading and get up off the couch to just stretch a bit. I need to post something on my blog or my daughter will think I have died. It's her way of checking up on me. lol
Good evening ladies. GRANNY LOU, WHERE ARE YOU?
ReplyDeleteWhen I moved to this house 4 years ago I took down the clothesline and painted the poles green. They were right in the center of the view from our sun porch out to our back yard (there's a half acre out there, but you couldn't see it!) I guess that qualifies me for the Clothesline Hall of Shame? I like the smell of clothesline-dried clothes but I don't care for the stiffness. Besides, I leave them in the dryer for way too long. Would I leave them outside for days on end?? LOL Mare, what's the matter with your dryer? Our washer is acting up. We need a plumber but we don't seem to have that hiring-a-plumber income! My sweetie is handy with some home repairs but this one is beyond him. I'm glad he just says so instead of trying something that's way over his head! I used to be handy with minor home repairs when I lived alone for 26 years. I've gotten pretty spoiled now.
It's 97 here today but low humidity. I still put the a/c window unit on in the office. I only got about 4 hours' sleep so I feel pretty crappy this evening. Can't wait to cook fish. Ugh. It will turn my stomach. I hate dealing with dinner when I've only been up for an hour or two. I'm ready for breakfast! LOL (Hubs doesn't like breakfast-dinners. Rats.)
Enough from me.

ReplyDeleteI'M HERE GIRLS. THE WEATHER HERE WAS IN THE HIGH 80'S. NOT BAD COMPARED TO WHAT WE HAVE HAD TO PUT UP WITH ALL SUMMER. GRAMPS PULLED WEEDS AND RAKED LEAVE OUT IN FRONT OF OUR DINNING ROOM AND LIVINGROOM WINDOWS TODAY. IT NEEDS REDOING AND HE JUST HASN'T HAD TIME TO WORK ON IT. IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER. I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A COUPLE OF BUTTERFLY BUSHES.BUT THEN I WOULD LIKE SOME IN THE BACKYARD WHERE I CAN SEE THEM FROM MY LIVINGROOM CHAIR. I LOVE WATCHING THE SQUIRRELS AND SEEING THE BIRDS FLY IN AND OUT OF THAT OAK TREE THAT STANDS TALL AND STRONG GIVING THEM A PLACE TO PLAY ALL DAY. IT'S 9:14 PM AND I'M GETTING TIRED. SO HUGS TO YOU ALL.KATIE GET SOME REST.
