Well, it has been one week since mom's funeral. We have been at "home" for going on 2 weeks...during this time we have gone out to the nursing home to visit dad and one of the days we went we took out the clippers to give him a haircut.
Mom was always very meticulous about everything she did, so of course she had a frilly apron that she would tie around her neck when she did her hair so as not to get any hair on her clothes...well, we didn't see the sheet that mom would always bring out to put around dad's shoulders, so we grabbed her apron...Don't think dad even noticed, but we found it cute...don't think he would have appreciated HAD he noticed it although he just usually shakes his head at the things any of "his" three girls do.
Hoping to head back home tomorrow...ah...my own bed!!! *sigh*

ReplyDeleteMARE, DITTO TO WHAT ANNIE SAID. FUNNY HOW THINGS CHANGE SO FAST. SOME THINGS I LIKE AND SOME THINGS I DON'T. I DO KNOW I HAVE TO GO WITH THE FLOW OF LIFE GOOD OR BAD.MY YOUNG FRIEND WILL BE HEADING TO MARYLAND FOR HER TREATMENTS WHATEVER THEY MAY BE. M D ANDERSON HOSPITAL WOULDN'T OPERATE ON HER. THEY FOUND IT HAD SPREAD TO THE LIVER. THE FAMILY GOT BACK THIS PAST WEEKEND AND THEY'LL BE HEADING NORTH AS SOON AS SHE GETS THE OK. A BIG MIRACLE IS NEEDED IN HER CASE. I HATE IT WHEN CHILDREN HAVE TO GET THESE TERRIBLE ILLNESSES. WE ARE ALL TAKING ONE DAY AT A TIME. WHAT CAN ANYONE SAY. THERE'S NO WORDS.

ReplyDeleteIt's sunny and 54 degrees out today so I have the window in the office here thrown open. The fresh air smells SO good after months of sub-freezing temps and closed windows! I see it's warm for most of our bloggers today. Enjoy! Spring is on the way!
