Happy Easter to you too! I hope that you have a wonderful day! The weather is supposed to be decent here, so after doing some housework, I hope to go outside and clean up the yard a bit. We did the bulk of our Easter festivities yesterday, since my three older kids went with their father for the rest of the weekend :( So it's just me and the younger two - we went to church and came home and are just going to hang out for the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteBeth is so right about how "normal" always changes - take things one day at a time and everything will work out the way that it's supposed to. That's something that I've been struggling with this year but it gets easier.

Oh, my sister and I went to church where mom went...was so nice to be there..but missing her so much of course.
Hi Mare - Just back home from a nice day with my daughter and her family and extended family. The kiddies hunting for eggs hidden through out the house, nice day with everyone.

Mare-cute pictures! I also have the annual picture taken before going to church. Some were real doozies. The three of us girls usually had matching dresses on that my mom made. I wish she would have kept a few of those dresses.And my dad and brother would have on their suits, so handsome! If I can find the one where my mom had a funky hat on, I will send it to you. It is pretty funny.

Beth, good post! I'd love to see an Easter pic of your family! My mom has custody of all our family pics so I don't have a one. It has been stipulated that I get them all when she passes. I'll have to find them though. They are scattered everywhere, an envelope here and an envelope there. Maybe the hunt will be fun. The other kids don't want them so whew!

I had a real busy day today. Now Kevin is due home in about 20 minutes. Just picked up the house, did some laundry, dealt with today's Jeanne crisis. (She was horrid yesterday, too.) Life goes on! And life is good!~

Mare, hope your day is cooking along productively! Do you have a target date to try and finish by? (dangling preposition or something there! LOL)
This music is lovely! But I must go now. More to do around here. Have to change 3 litter boxes plus clean up a water mess. I think our hot water tank is leaking. Ugh. But we have a good plumber who's reasonable!

ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice Easter. I enjoyed going to mom's church with you Little sis! Very nice meal, compliments of a local restaurant, & trips to 2 cemetarys. The one on the hill was so quiet & peaceful. Don't know if I was of much help to you, but I did enjoy the time we spent together. Only wish it could happen more ofter! love you

ReplyDeleteGang, I heard from Mare. She's okay. She and her son took a lot of stuff to the Goodwill today and then they went to see her dad. Her other sister and hubby came and helped. Mare's hubby is driving out Friday night. The auction is Saturday. So she's just very very busy. Just thought I'd let you know. :)
