Just sitting here thinking while I'm waiting for Ross to be on Jay tonight...
WHY do we move so often?? (I actually know the reasons we have moved, but does it REALLY have to be so often??)
Why did my mom have to have her awful accident? There has never been a sweeter, kinder, more God-fearing woman or a more wonderful mom....EVER.
Why did my dog just have to have 7 teeth pulled?? (you heard that right..SEVEN! all front teeth..common in little critters they tell me..at least he won't be buck-toothed while he sleeps now.)
Why have we gone from COLD-needing-the-heater on to HOT-fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk in a matter of a week??
How did I get to be so blessed to have the most beautiful granddaughters in the WHOLE world?
How did I get to be 58 so quickly? Time has speed warped to this age.
Why do I love dogs so much?
Why do I love to blog? and more importantly WHY does anyone care what I have to say??
Why am I still writing down my random thoughts?? Must be time to call it a night.
What are YOU thinking about?
I am thinking you sound very tired! To many whys. I care what you have to say because you are my sister, I love you & always think you have something to say that I think is important or just plain interesting. I also see so much of mom in you & that is important to me. It helps me remember the way she was & what she thought, which was so important.
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you Lucky got a haircut. Poor dog looked so tired, the nurses said it wore him out. He was plopped out in the middle of the floor sleeping last fri.
Will see my sister in law thurs. That will be nice. Her husbands cancer is back but at stage 1. Will be treated with medcation for now anyway. We have a friend & neighbor who is showing signs of health problems again. Just hope & pray he will be ok.
I hope you all are enjoying the summer! was 100 yesterday, and will be 90 today 80 tomorrow & down to 70 after that. Keep hoping, no rain while our company is here.
It's off to Norfolk today. so much good will stuff & errands to run!

Hi Mare-If you come up with the answers to your questions, please share them! I agree, I think you had a very tired moment and the questions crept up on you. I have them and I am sure all others do here. Sometimes our Faith is a hard thing to hold on to,...but it is always there waiting for us.

Mary,Mare and TG-stay cool. Those high temps are annoying this time of year! What happened to Spring...Spring where are youuuuuuuu?!
It has been fun going thru my daughter's things. Found her old Cabbage Patch dolls. Remember how they were suppose to be collectibles?! I never bought into that. I knew they were mass produced. She played with them and loved them. I kept 2 for my great-neice to play with and the others went to the thrift store that funds the charity group that I work with. The money will help buy school uniforms for those who can't afford them.
Well I better go drink my green tea and then ... back to work!
Oh Mare, we will find Ross and both stalk him...how could he resist US!!!

Hi Ladies...very quiet night here. In fact, my life has been very quiet since I got home from vacation. I like it that way but there's not much to write about. LOL It's going to be near 100 the next 2 days so we are turning on the A/C in the morning. We don't use it all the time. We sat on the sun porch this evening, and even had dinner out there even though it was in the 80s. It was pleasant. No plans for the rest of the week. Who wants me to come help them pack? ;)

I have to be out at the end of the month but in between I am suppose to go to NYC for 5 days because Mr.NYC is the best man at his friend's wedding. I am in a slight panic at being gone but I want to support him.

Oh my goodness, Mare, I think you and I both just had random moments - I did a post like this last night, and then went off on my rant! LOL
ReplyDeleteBut I got some wonderful, beatiful, touching news this morning. My nephew, Richard, has been in Iraq. I knew that he was coming home for R&R but I didn't know details. Turns out that he showed up at my niece's HS graduation last night and surprised her! I've found a few articles on it, and one picture that just made me burst into tears, but it was so beautiful. Some of my friends were there because they had kids who were graduating, but so far no one has video of that moment!
I was at the hospital the day he was born, and now he's 23 and serving our country. He amazes me.

I should go. I have a big broken glass mess to clean up. A big picture fell off of our fireplace and took a Wedgewood dish and some glass chess pieces with it. Big mess. The cleaning lady swept it up into a big pile, bless her heart. (We heard the glass break during the night but couldn't find what broke.) With 20 little furry feet in the house I have to clean it up pretty fast.
I'm so excited! I just bought us tickets to see Joan Baez in a little theatre not too far from here for November. Orchestra seats! I wonder if her voice has held up. I saw her once many years ago in concert in a huge arena. I wanted to see her again before she's too old to tour. I'm just an aging hippie. :)

Good afternoon all...what a (fun) non-productive day so far! My daughter came over after she left my granddaughter off to help at vacation Bible school so we went to get a pop and some gas in the car...would you believe the gas pumps weren't working (and I refused to go to the "other" gas station in town as it EXPENSIVE!) so...we drove to the next town (6 miles away and actually didn't run out of gas...) from there we decided to toodle around and try to find where some people we knew lived and just bum...had a lot of fun BUT had to put more gas in the car LOL! Went to pick up graycie from Bible school and before you knew it we had a few extra kids at our house...All are gone now as the younger girls went to the pool..and daughter and older granddaughter went home...
