Dad and Marilyn

View right outside Dad's window-lighted birdhouse (thanks to MaryE) flowers and gazebo with little waterfall and flowers (and tomatoes) He loves it I think!

MaryE's lunch...chicken and asparagus!

MY lunch-barbequed meatballs! YUM

This is a beautiful chair in person! See MaryE's new necklace??

Since it is HARD to get online just now, this was my day TWO days ago!
I went over to Laurel to see Dad...decided to let the GPS (her name is "Surely" as in SUREly she'll get me there!) take me however she wanted to...well, 20 extra miles and a detour later, I finally got there! MaryE had gone on over and had taken dad across to the clinic (yeah, it right across the street from the home...a tiny little clinic..so handy!) and they were waiting his turn...he was surprised (and happy I think) to see me.. When they called him I got to go back with him...he has had "spots" on his face for years that are cancerous and has them removed frequently. Anyway, they froze the ones on his face and "REMOVED" the one on his upper chest/shoulder area. He had to have a few stitches, but got up on the table (with help) and handled it very well...
When he was finished, we "rolled" him back across the street to the home. I had thought about having dinner with him, but hadn't mentioned it as I figured maybe MaryE and I could sneak out for our a lunch in town...BUT, dad invited us to stay and they checked and they had enough so stay we did...I'm really glad we did...was nice to sit at the table with my dad and sister and just enjoy a good meal (and yes, the food was VERY tasty!...MaryE said her lemonade was great as was my iced tea...YUM) While we were eating the janitor hung the bracket (the correct one this time) for dad so we went back and admired that and cleaned off a stand and stored that and also cleaned off the spare bed in his room..He didn't have anymore "3muskateer" candy bars, so we ran downtown (a TINY town by the way) and stopped at a floral/gift shop (MaryE found a PRETTY necklace..on sale no less-shoot, should have taken a picture of it) and a bracelet and I got a memory music box. It plays amazing grace and has a scripture verse on the top...and not to be morbid, but it was the beautiful bronzey color of mom's casket...SO, I will put the little bits and pieces of things that are from her or remind me of her in there...I would have liked to have gotten them for my sisters, but they had only one left (closeout no less) so I think this time I will selfishly keep it...maybe.
We finally picked up the candy at the grocery store and I ran it back in ...dad was reading a "field and stream" magazine we had brought for him and had his tv running. He needed it bent down just a bit so did that and headed back to Wayne behind MaryE..we then stopped at the furniture store..I need furniture, but have odd walls in my little old "cottage" so am having trouble finding what I want/need. Think I MIGHT have found something, plus we found a glider that would be PERFECT with MaryE's new sofa! (told santa-her hubby-he needs to remember that at Christmas..don't worry...I will remind him!! lol)
Finished there and headed to an antique store (MaryE found a beautiful antique crystal bracelet and I looked...a couple more stops and then to Verizon to order dad a new phone...he is SURE his is not working..and...he may be correct! When I go back I will get it fixed up for him..will be in by then...
I then drove through Runza (that is a restaurant I will tell you about sometime) and got an iced tea while Mary E stopped at the store...Back to her house to visit a bit and then I stopped at their store (don't have much here) and on home...on the way back, I saw what I thought was a stray puppy and called hubby..he said to go ahead and turn around, but I couldn't find it.. :( so sad...
Alrighty...that was my day...worked on the kitchen yesterday and am doing more today and may break out the paint for the bathroom (have a dusty blue I MIGHT use...we'll see)I also need to make some "furniture calls" to try to run down measurements of available sofas, etc...Keeps me out of trouble anyway! whew!
Hope you are all staying comfortable...we have had a break in the heat here..was miserable, but almost cool yesterday and so far today...
Off to find more things to do (actually, the things to do are finding me so I MUST get busy)
Hugs to you all...
Mare
and a BIG postscript! I am supposed to have internet service sometime tomorrow afternoon!! YEAH YEAH YEAH! Happy dance! LOL
Hello Friends!
ReplyDeleteWow Mare what a productive day! The view from your dad's room is lovely, really. And having the clinic right across the street, perfect. You all did a good job finding his new home.I think he looks happy and if he is like the men in my family (except for Mr.NYC!)he is probably very quiet and you have to guess what he is thinking or pry it out of him ;-)
Make sure you give us complete descriptions of what furniture that you get.I think the box sounds wonderful and it is not selfish to keep it.I am sure your sister's are happy that you found it.I am back home in So.Cal.and getting into the swing of things living with mom.She is being a good sport and I try to stay out of her way and remember that it is her house and respect that.Even if I do want to get into her cupboards and clean and purge!Well you know I was on a good run and did it for 2 months!
Katie-it is hard for me to get on the computer so I try to do it in the morning before anyone else is up or on theirs. When 2 or more are on then the service is so slow that it drives me crazy. It is probably a good thing actually!Kevin's car sound great!I am actually going to sell my little convertible :-( and look for a little jeep or something like that.It is in perfect condition and I just think I should sell it now with the market up and get the best price.I hardly ever drive it.I will let you know.
GRANNY-YOUR DAUGHTER'S TRIP TO CAL.SOUNDED WONDERFUL.I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY WERE AND IT IS SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRYSIDE IN THE WORLD.I HAVE A GOOD FRIEND THAT HAS A HOUSE ON THE 17MILE DRIVE IN PEBBLE BEACH THAT YOU TALKED ABOUT AND IT IS AS NEAR HEAVEN ON EARTH THAT YOU CAN GET TO.PRAYERS CONTINUE FOR YOU AND YOUR LOSSES.SO SAD, I AM SORRY... SOMETIMES THE CIRCLE OF LIFE IS VERY HARD.I AM SURE YOU HAVE BEEN AND CONTINUE TO BE A GOOD FRIEND TO THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Amy-SO glad you took some time off to have some fun!I love the before and after pictures that you share. You are an inspiration!I know what you are going thru with the house change.I have just sold a very large house and have moved into my mom's house with my son and sister until I find something to buy.We are squished!Someone made the funny comment that we are like the neat, clean version of the horders.I am not sure that was meant as a compliment but I know they were kidding(I hope!).I even have some furniture in her bathtubs as there wasn't one more inch to put it anywhere else! I am still looking to move it out of there though.Poor mom...
Well off to do something before I lose this entire loooong post!
Hugs, Beth
Oh so glad I didn't lose it...!
ReplyDeleteForgot to say hi to Luv,Annie and MaryE and anyone else peeking!
H,B
BETH, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENT. YES IT'S VERY HARD WHEN YOU LOSE SOMEONE YOU LOVE. MY FRIEND THAT'S FIGHTING CANCER, WE'VE BEEN FRIENDS ALMOST 70 YEARS.I SHOULD SAY NEAR 70. MY MATRON OF HONOR.
ReplyDeleteMY DAUGHTER EVERY SINCE SHE WAS A CHILD SHE ALWAYS WANTED TO TRAVEL. SHE MUST HAVE MY MOTHERS BLOOD IN HER BECAUSE ALL ANYONE WOULD HAVE TO SAY IS DO YOU WANT TO GO SOMEWHERE AND SHE'D STOP WHATEVER SHE WAS DOING AND TAKE OFF. I LOVED THAT ABOUT MOM BECAUSE A LITTLE DUST DIDN'T BOTHER HER SHE WAS ALWAYS READY TO EXPLORE.DAD NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH HER ADVENTURE PERSONALITY. IN FACT I THINK HE LOVED THAT ABOUT HER. THE KIDS HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THE PICTURES SHE TOOK SHOWED ALL THE JOY. I'M JUST GLAD THEY CAN TAKE THE TRIPS WHILE THE KIDS ARE YOUNG ENOUGH TO GO ALONG AND ENJOY.IT'S WONDERFUL FOR THEM. IT KEEPS A FAMILY CLOSE.
KATIE, HAVE YOU TAKEN THE NEW CAR OUT AND OPENED HER UP ON THE OPEN ROAD YET? HOW FAST DOES SHE GO? I THOUGHT OF YOU THEY HAD AN ARTICAL ON THE OUTER BANKS IN OUR PAPER THIS WEEK. THEY SAID IT'S ONE PLACE EVERYONE WANTS TO GO FOR VACATION.I COULD JUST SEE YOU BAREFOOT WALKING THE BEACH WITH YOUR LOVE. SWEET.THERE'S A BEAUTIFUL RED CARDINAL SITTING ON MY FACE JUST ENJOYING THE BREEZE. I DO HOPE YOUR MIL IS HAVING A BETTER DAY.BE STRONG.
MARE, IT'S SO EXCITING WHEN YOU GET NEW FURNITURE. RIGHT NOW I COULDN'T USE ANOTHER PIECE IN THIS HOUSE. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A FRIEND OF MY DAUGHTERS' GIVE ME A COMPLETE DINNINGROOM SET [CHERRY]. A FEW MARKS HERE AND THERE BUT TO ME IT SAYS THE FAMILY HAD MANY DINNERS ON THE TABLE. ENJOYABLE TIMES SO I THINK I'M GOING TO LEAVE THEM RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE.LOL, ALSO MANY ROOSTER DECORATIONS FOR THE KITCHEN. YES I HAVE ROOM FOR THEM AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THEYDO ADD TO THE KITCHEN. NEVER DID LIKE ROOSTERS BECAUSE THERE WAS ALWAY A ROOSTER WAITING FOR ME TO GET OUT OF THE CAR AT MY GRANNIES HOUSE WHEN I WAS LITTLE. HE WOULD CHASE ME EVERYTIME WE WENT TO HER HOUSE. HE'D CHASE ME RIGHT UP TO THE BACK DOOR THEN CROW AS IF HE WAS LAUGHUNG AT ME. I'D CRY AND EVERYONE ELSE WOULD LAUGH.NOW WHAT DO I HAVE BUT ROOSTERS IN MY KITCHEN. PLUS, SHE GAVE ME MANY THINGS TO DECORATE THE HOUSE. EVERYTHING FITS. IT WAS LIKE A GOD SEND. I DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING FOR THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE EXCEPT WOOD BLINDS.WE STILL HAVE THREE WINDOWS TO PUT UP.BLINDS ARE JUST SITTING IN BOXES. GRAMPS ONLY HAS TWO HANDS. LOL
I NEED TO TAKE A NAP. AFTER READING AMYS' BLOG AND HER COMMENTS HERE I GET TIRED. LOL. WHAT A GAL. BOY, COULD I EVER PUT HER TO WORK. THE HARDEST THING FOR ME IS TO LOOK AT THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE AND CAN'T DO IT.BOO HISS.
BETH, ONE MORE THING TO ADD. JUST ASK YOUR MOM IF SHE'D LIKE YOU TO CLEAN ANYTHING SHE CAN'T GET TOO. BELIEVE ME IF SHE'S ANYTHING LIKE ME SHE WON'T ASK.HELLO TO ALL.
GRANNY
I agree with Beth, I love the view from your Dad's window. So serene. You girls did a great job finding this place. I also really enjoy the pictures of him--he reminds me of my Dad, who would now be 95. Oh, how I miss my parents! How neat that you now live so close to your Dad. I'm sure that he is so comforted having his girls with him!
ReplyDeleteHave fun shopping for furniture! One of my favorite things to do.
Love your blog, Mare!
LOV, WHEN I THINK OF MY DAD IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN 111 THIS YEAR. IT'S ALMOST A LOL.I CAN HARDLY COUNT THAT HIGH ANYMORE.J/K
ReplyDeleteMARE, YOUR SO LUCKY TO STILL HAVE YOUR DAD. YOU CAN SEE THE SWEETNESS ALL OVER HIS FACE. I'M THRILL THAT YOU GIRLS CAN POP IN ON HIM EVERYDAY JUST TO SAY,HI DAD. WE TAKE LIFE SO FOR GRANTED UNTIL WE LOSE SOMEONE WE LOVE. I LOOK AT GRAMPS WHEN HE'S NOT LOOKING AND I WONDER HOW MUCH LONGER WILL I HAVE HIM. MY DAD DIED WHEN HE WAS 60. SO MY CHILDREN ARE VERY LUCKY TO STILL HAVE THEIR DAD. GRAMPS HAS BEEN A GREAT HUBBY, FATHER AND FRIEND TO ALL WHOEVER CROSSED HIS PASS. ALWAY HELPING ANYONE THAT NEEDED A HAND. THERE FOR EVERYONE. TO ME THAT A BLESSING. WHY AM I RATTLING ON BECAUSE I'VE LEARNED TO LOVE EVERY MOMENT YOU HAVE WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE. DADS INCLUDING.EVEN WHEN CERTAIN PEOPLE HURT YOU. I JUST FORGIVE AND GET ON WITH LIFE.
MARY, LOVE YOUR PICTURE.THERE'S JUST A LOVING GLOW THAT POPS OFF YOU AND MARE. LETS GO HORSE BACK RIDING. LOL
GRANNY
My, my, my...so much on which to comment in this post!
ReplyDeleteBefore I forget I wanted to tell you, Mare, that in order to use FaceTime on iPhones, you both have to be using WiFi. Consequently, Kevin and I can mostly only use it at home! LOL (No, we don't.)
Love the view, love the pics, love that you had lunch with your dad and sis, Mare! Have you found the right furniture yet? I mean, as in you're ready to buy it? I saw wait a few months to paint the bathroom. Bathrooms are easy to paint and can be done any time. Just my two cents!
GRANNY, THANKS FOR THINKING OF ME! YES, I ADORE VACATIONING THERE AND WALKING BAREFOOT IN THE SAND WITH MY LOVE. THE BEACH WE GO TO IS PRIVATE FOR ABOUT 8 HOMES, MOST OF WHICH ARE VACATION RENTALS AND EMPTY WHEN WE'RE THERE. SO THE BEAUTIFUL, UNSPOILED BEACH HAS ALMOST NO PEOPLE ON IT. IT'S WONDERFUL.
I HAVEN'T DRIVEN KEVIN'S NEW CAR YET. PROBABLY THIS WEEKEND. IT'S AN AUTOMATIC AND MY CARS HAVE ALL BEEN STICK SHIFTS SO I'LL PROBABLY SPEND THE FIRST SIX MONTHS STOMPING THE FLOOR WHERE THE CLUTCH SHOULD BE! LOL
Beth, glad you got home safely. I understand about the computer situation. What kind of connection does your mom have? Maybe I can think of some ways to speed it up. Happy house hunting! Now it's time to find just the right house!
Luvs, I had pictured you as being about 25. I guess not if your dad would be the age you mentioned now. I just thought that was kind of funny! LOL
Amy, hi there! Time to kickoff is growing short. Just how excited are you? (big smile)
Not much new here. Been having quiet days, just like I like them. We are going to a town fair this weekend, though, so I'm excited about that. :)
xox
Katie
Katie, I had a big chuckle at you picturing me being 25. I'm 63!!!!
ReplyDeleteGUESS WHAT??? GUESS WHAT!!!! I'm on the real honest to goodness INTERNET! yippeee!!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't know that I will get to post a whole lot yet...Katie..you didn't tell me WHICH drawer exactly that you put my camera in ..SO.. I will have to look in a drawer ONLINE (like I need to get a new one! which isn't a BAD thing really!)
Why did I think you were about our age LUVS? Things you have said in the past I guess made me think so...thought you were a bit younger though...Katie and I are 58-ish, Beth 40's, TG and Annie early 70's, Mary E 68 and Amy 40's...am I close everyone??? Who did I miss? Too late to try to be thinking...
Katie, too late, got the bathroom painted...believe me when you see the pics you will know WHY i needed to have some of these things done...NOW..still not great, but a lot better...
Think we will go to check out furniture in SO Sioux City (seems weird...a few short weeks ago I was close to Wyoming and now just as close or CLOSER to Iowa!!) anyway, will probably do that and swing past to see dad and then on to Wayne to let hubby check out the sofa I found there...I should post a link so you can tell me what you think of the style and the colors...comes in a (light) greenish blue (hmmmm...maybe not) a red which i ADORE, but not sure if it will go with the walls and just painted the "antique...aka OLD...front door a red and you walk right into the living room) or a tan (or brown..she didn't specify and i haven't seen a swatch for it yet) The size is right and a bit mid-century feel if not look, but not quite what I was thinking (although I won't be picky as long as it FITS into the room!)
TG, I wanted to thank you for saying MaryE looks so loving...she IS...looking at her is often (most times) like looking at mom...she's such a dear and I DO adore her!
Beth...do you have homes lined up to look at ?? SO anxious for you to find one...we didn't even look at this one when we said we would take it although we didn't' have to commit for "real" until we had seen it...not what I would really have chosen at all, but believe me when I say, "the price WAS right!! LOL
Need to go take a bath shower curtain is still down from the painting adventure (painting old walls and woodwork is not really my idea of fun...painting at ALL isn't my idea of fun..
Katie..does that mean we COULD face talk or not and play word??? if I was on an iphone with wifi???? I just might be convinced to go that way!.
really have to get some sleep...not as bad as Amy has been lately though!!!
Have a good rest everyone..
Mare
Mare, we could play Words no matter what if you had either an iPhone4 or an iPad! And if you were on WiFi and I was at home, we could definitely do FaceTime. :)
ReplyDeleteI was doing really well with sleep for quite a while, until this week. Can't get to sleep now until 4 or 5 in the morning. I hate it. I do sleep 8 hours anyway, but I also hate getting up in the afternoon. It's temporary. This, too, shall pass...
Mary DOES look very kind and loving!
Katie
Mare, the way I see it, at 63, I am about your and Katie's age! I'm also about Beth's age. And Granny's, Annie's, and MaryE's. And Amys. It's just a number. My spirit is young. I have to say, the thumbnail picture of me with one of my dogs (Graham) must be so small that you can't tell how old I am! For this I am grateful ;-).
ReplyDeleteLOV, I HAVE A YOUNG SPIRIT. IT'S HOW I FEEL INSIDE. THE OUTSIDE WELL, LOL. EVERYTHING HAS GONE TO POT. BOO HISS. HERE,I'VE BEEN TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS THAT MARE WAS IN HER 70S' LOL SO REALLY I MUST BE A YOUNG PERSON IN AN OLD BODY BECAUSE MARE AND I GET ALONG SO WELL. NOW THAT I KNOW SHE'S YOUNGER IF WE WERE EVER TO GET TOGETHER SHE'S YOUNG ENOUGH TO PUSH MY WHEEL CHAIR IF I EVER GET ONE.
ReplyDeleteI'M WAITING FOR GRAMPS TO GET BACK HOME. HE HAD TO GO OVER TO THE HOSPITAL TO CHECK UP ON MY FLORIDA BUDDY. SHE WAS TAKEN THERE THIS MORNING FOR A KIDNEY PROBLEM. SHE HAS NO FAMILY THAT REALLY CARES. I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO THAT AT THIS TIME. ALWAYS SOMETHING.
TO ALL OF YOU A GOOD DAY. LIKE KATIE I'M STILL IN PJS. 2 O CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON AND NOTHING IS DONE AROUND HERE.LAZY DAY.
PEEK.
I LAUGH BECAUSE YOUR FEED SAYS I'VE BEEN HERE TWO TIMES TODAY OR AT LEAST SOMEONE FROM MY TOWN. UNLESS ONE OF MY FRIENDS IS PEEKING. I'VE BEEN HERE ONCE.I KNOW CICERO COMES BY. YOU'D THINK THEY WOULD AT LEAST SAY HELLO.
GRANNY
Good Morning. Another very hot & humid day! Believe I will probably stay in. (I have lots I should do, soooo should get at it). Got a couple of dr. visits out of the way. Drops in one eye for pressure, & another shot for fluid in my ear! Right now I feel more like 98 than 68. This too will pass! I hope the rest of you are having a good summer. Sorry you have so many friends with problems granny. Hard to watch that! oh dear, I don't know about horseback riding. I did try to ride one that belonged to a friend, a lot of years ago, & he decided to take off with me! I love horses, just not sure about riding one. They are beautiful to look at. We had a small one once that we used for herding cattle., & she was a wonderful animal. Kids liked riding her. she was more like a pet!Dobins was her name!!! fit her perfectly.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I hope you are sleeping better. Hate when that happens.
Well little sis, I will be glad when you find the perfect furniture! I do know what you like & I am sure you will find it. I would love that chair I looked at . I am sure my grand daughter would take the old glider. She is collecting furniture so she has some after she is married next summer. I am anxious to come see your new home little sis. As you know I never seem to get to far.
Not sure I am making sense, Better get something done (maybe I need a nap already)!
Hope you have a good day. (and hope it isn't to miserable where you are)! Enjoy reading all of your comments!
Hello!
ReplyDeleteMy time on the computer!Yippee!
Katie-I can ask my daughter what kind of connection we have here.It is all Greek to me,I have no idea.I know, shameful to those of you who are so computer smart!
I got to take care of my great-neice yesterday. What a delight. She is 22 months now and is so smart.I had fun all day.It was a welcome relief. I looked at 6 homes on Tuesday. One was really nice but I think a little to big still.I really want to down-size and don't want a big yard anymore. Also it sits on a hill and the driveway is really steep. All I can think of is dragging the trash cans up and down when my back goes out.My mind goes to those practical things immediately.
I am going to see Les Miserables today. I have seen it and LOVE the music. My daughter has never seen it so it is a gift to her from me.I think I know all of the words so it will be a test NOT to sing along!
Mare-I can't wait to see your pics of the new painted rooms and furniture.Oh, thank you for the few years knocked off of my age! I am 51 but will take 40ish any day!!!
Hugs to all, Beth
BETH, 51 GIGGLE GIGGLE. ONE STEP OVER THE HILL.THERE'S A HOUSE OUT THERE FOR YOU. TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS YOU CAN TO FIND THE RIGHT ONE. YOU'LL KNOW WHEN YOU WALK INTO THE FRONT DOOR. I LOVE ROSS'S HOUSE. LOVE HIS KITCHEN. I'M SURE WHEN HE WALKED IN THE DOOR HE KNEW.
ReplyDeleteKATIE. IF YOUR NOT SLEEPING, HAVE YOUR DOCTOR CHECK YOUR CALCIUM. SOMETHING TO DO WITH YOUR HEART. DIABETIES HITS EVERYTHING IN YOUR BODY.MINE WAS LOW AFTER I HAD AN ATTACK AND ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL.IT WAS CONNECTED TO THE HEART BUT NOT HEART ATTACK AT THAT TIME. THEY FOUND THE CALCIUM WAS LOW AND AS SOON AS I GOT ON A MEDICINE FOR IT, I SLEEP MUCH BETTER.DOESN'T HURT TO ASK.
AMY HAS 5 MORE DAYS BEFORE HER TRIP. I THINK SHE'LL NEED IT THE WAY SHE'S BEEN CLEANING. I DON'T ENVY HER TRAVELING ACROSS HALF THE COUNTRY WITH 5 SMALL CHILDREN. BLESS YOU AMY.
MARY,HOW MANY ACRES DO YOU FARM? THERE'S ALWAY ROOM FOR A CORRAL. IF I WAS A YOUNG PERSON I WOULD LOVE TO TRAIN HORSES. I NEVER HAD ANY TRAINING BUT I'D GO SOMEWHERE TO LEARN. I SHOULD BE LIVING ON A FARM. HARD WORK BUT SO WONDERFUL.
MARE, NEVER ASKED. HOW DOES YOUR HUBBY LIKE HIS NEW JOB AND DO YOU THINK YOU'LL BE SETTLED FOR A WHILE. LET'S HOPE SO AFTER ALL YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH.
I'M SITTING HERE WATCHING COOKING SHOWS ON TV AFTER WATCHING MY ART SHOWS THIS MORNING. LOVE SATURDAYS FOR THAT REASON.
GRANNY
GRANNY, SHAME ON YOU FOR SAYING MARE'S IN HER 70S! LOL I'M SURE THAT CUT TO THE QUICK! SHE'S JUST MY AGE, IN HER LATE 50S. SHE HAS A LOT OF GOOD YEARS LEFT ON HER.
ReplyDeleteMY SLEEP PROBLEM IS 30 YEARS OLD. IT GOES THRU CYCLES OF GETTING BETTER AND WORSE FOR A WHILE. BUT THANKS.
Mary, I'm glad you got another treatment for your ear fluid. I'm worried. Keep us posted please. How hot is it there today? And is it humid? It's 86 here today but not very humid. I can take the heat but not the heat and humidity! So go take a nap. :)
Beth, glad you got some computer time! Sounds like it was good to walk away from the house with the steep driveway. Seems like every house has one or two drawbacks but that would really be a tough one. My mom's house is on a hill and now her kind neighbors take out her recycling and garbage cans for her and bring them back. We are trying to keep sending them gift cards and stuff as a token thank you. Keep looking. There's a great one out there for you, I just know it! And can MrNYC come stay with you while you're at your mom's house? Just thought of that! Have a wonderful time at Les Mis.
Mare, what are you up to this weekend? A little trip to Iowa? LOL Sounds so funny!
Everyone have a wonderful time no matter what you end up doing this weekend! We are either going to a carnival this evening or going to see the new Harry Potter movie. Don't know which yet. Tomorrow: Queenie's.
xox
Katie
KATIE JUST LOVE YOU. YOUR SO FUNNY. QUEENIE. WHAT WOULD SHE DO WITHOUT YOU. GRANNY
ReplyDeleteMARE, HOW'S MY 70 YEAR OLD FRIEND TONIGHT? LOL I THINK THAT'S SO FUNNY ALSO. CHIN UP. YOU HAVE MANY GOOD YEARS LEFT. RIGHT MARY?
ReplyDeleteBETH HOPE YOU HAD SOME LUCK TODAY LOOKING. KEEP US POSTED PAL.
GRANNY
