ReplyDeleteA pretty day here also, warm but not hot. I am being lazy today. My sis went to visit a friend up north and I don't have anyone to spur me on to do anything so I am reading a mystery (the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child. I am addicted!)I have the Broadway musical music channel on tv on and I am reading...just about a perfect day! And I NEVER get a doxie overload! My Grettel has been giving me a laugh lately. She has discovered that it is nice and cool if she is outside and she sleeps in the flower beds underneath a nice big leafy plant. So now I have to look hard for her outside to see where she is!

It is beautiful here right now, too. Temp has been hovering around 72 during the day, the trees are barely starting to change, there's a fall chill in the air. Yesterday we sat out in our back yard in Adirondack chairs for hours! Then it started raining. We needed the rain, too. It was lovely. We were trying to accept that we just sold "the house". Still doesn't seem real!

ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD FALL IS SLOWLY CREEPING DOWN FROM THE NORTH. THIS MORNING GRAMPS SAID IT FELT LIKE THE 70S THIS MORNING WHEN HE TOOK OUR PUP FOR HIS MORNING WALK. IT'LL BE IN THE HIGH 80S THIS AFTERNOON. IT'S BETTER THAN THE 90S. IN ANOTHER TWO OR THREE OF WEEKS A TRIP TO N.C. WOULD BE NICE FOR ANYONE WITH VACATION TIME LEFT. THE LEAVES WILL BE SO BEAUTIFUL. IT'S BREATH TAKEN.

It's 86 here, and the temps are building every day, hitting 100 on Monday. It isn't humid today, so it is actually pretty but, I am so tired of the heat! Every year, I try to like Fall, but this tends to be what we get. At least it is getting dark earlier, so it cools down faster at night.

It has been cloudy all day and now it is raining. The temps stayed in the mid 50's today. Yesterday was beautiful and I was able to get outside and enjoy the nice weather. Our trees are starting to change and drop leaves. My leaves on my birch tree are turning yellow already. I laughed about Beth's dog hiding underneath her flowers. Every night I go upstairs, I find Storm the cat, has lifted my comforter on the end of my bed and is sleeping underneath the covers. This is something that Storm has just started to do. I told him that I know we are getting old and our old bones need to be warm. Then I tell him to scoot off my bed. I do not let my two cats in my room when I sleep. Storm and Phoenix like to play in the middle of the night. Sometimes they have woke me up running through the house downstairs.

ONE OF MY BROTHERS AND DAD WERE NAVY.THEN THE ARMY CAME A KNOCKING WITH ANOTHER BROTHER.

IN THE SENIOR PARKS YOU OWN YOUR OWN HOUSE BUT PAY RENT FOR THE LOT. IT ALL AVERAGES OUT IN THE END.
I'M SITTING HERE WATCHING A BLUEJAY TAKING A MORNING BATH IN THE BIRDBATH. THEIR VERY BOSSY BIRDS. HE KEEPS CHASING A MOCKINGBIRD OFF SO HE CAN HAVE IT TO HIMSELF.IT'S REALLY FUN TO WATCH. I HAVE TO FILL IT WITH WATER DAILY BECAUSE OF ALL THE SPLASHING. GEE HOW I WISH I KNEW HOW TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES ON THE COMPUTER I BRING YOU ALL INTO MY LAZYBOY STYLE OF LIFE AND THE FUN I HAVE EVERYDAY BUT THEN THAT WOULD REQUIRE MORE THINKING.LOL
