  1. Hope you have a safe trip back across the frozen tundra! Your temps look SO cold right now! Yikes! We had a little snow on Christmas Eve but it melted by the next day. Yay! (I hate driving in snow!) HO HO HO! It's over!
Let us know when you get home.

  3. Mare...
Glad you made it home safely. So happy you had a wonderful Christmas with your family.

Took a little trip back to the hospital yesterday, the pneumonia is better but still present so they had to put me back on a regiment of prednisone again. I had reached where I was to take my 5mg maintenance on 12/24, so I was back to my normal schedule of meds but yesterday I needed more. The visitng nurse is coming later today. I am feeling much better with the increase. It is going to be a long trip until things clear up is what the doctor in the emergency room said. The best part is I am HOME.

    Have a great day everyone....

    Take care,
    Gloria

  7. Sorry Ole has been a bit under the weather Mare. Nothing warranting a vet visit I take it? Poor guy. Thank you for taking such good care of him. Please give him a chin rub from his Auntie Katie. LOL

Hope all else is well. Sure is cold where you are! Do you go out in a hat and gloves? And some clothes? LOL That was just silly.

What plans does everyone have for New Year's Eve? We're supposed to go to a party with shuttle to and from the party free but I don't really want to go this time. A quiet night at home with some good music and good movies and a fire in the wood stove sounds better to me. We still have the "good" bottle of champagne from last year so that sounds good. What are all of you doing?

  8. So sorry to hear Ole is not feeling well. Is he better? Tell him his friend Grettel says, Get better soon!

Mr.NYC was suppose to be here for Christmas and New Year's but he had to work and had to cancel the trip. So sad... He should be out the end of January so we will have our Christmas then.

Just a quiet night home for New Year's for me this year. We always go out to dinner at the same Japanese place that cooks on a Teppanyaki grill at your table. Super yummy and fun. Then home, watch some movies and have a little champagne. Might just be my daughter and I. That is ok, we can watch what we want on tv! We have the same tastes in musicals.

    Safe travels to all!
    Hugs, Beth

  9. Mare...
Thank you for the compliment of looking young but this lady is turning 64 years old the end of January. I feel young, I think young but the old body kicks me in the butt and let's me know the real age. Feeling much better, I had to go back on a higher dose of prednisone until the lung clears it's self of the inflamation, they are weening me down to my maintenance level. I hope this time it works for it is scary when you can not breath.I feel like Ole all wrapped in a blanket on the couch most days. I know it will take time....

Beth... Sorry Mr. NYC did not come out for the holidays. It will be special when he does the end of January. Your New Year's Eve plans sound nice too.

Katie...Your New Year's plans sound comfy & safe with your hubby. Have an enjoyable cocktail to bring the New Year in too.

I miss not seeing Granny's posts. Hope she can get a new computer soon or her other one fixed. I bought a lap top just in case my main computer dies on me. I would not know what to do with myself.

No plans here for New Year Eve...in my pj's and then most likely in bed early.

It is 25 degrees in Syracuse and we have snow beyond snow. Three days before Christmas it started snowing and has continued each day.

In case I do not make it back to say Happy New Year... May all of you have a healthy, happy and wonderful 2013. I think we all need a New Year to bring up hope and happiness in this world. 2012 did not bring that to many people and let's pray that 2013 does...Amen!!

    Take care,
    Gloria
