Let's Do It!

  1. Mare...first and foremost... I want to say that the time you put toward this blog is wonderful. I know it is appreciated by so many for you are talented in taking a picture, bringing up a subject matter to talk about, sharing your personal passages in life which has allowed others to share theirs. I am grateful to YOU for what you give of yourself to others. I have appreciated everyone encouraging words to me with this "mess" of health issues I am having. It makes me feel I have someone in my corner and it gives me the strength to keep plugging away. I am grateful to the Cicero Fire Department that comes to my rescue, I am grateful to my wonderful doctor that listens to every word I say to her, I am grateful to the doctors and nurses at the hospital that I was just in.

I wanted you to know you did not need to say how busy your life was when I made the post about posting in the A51 previous posts you had made. I just wanted to update everyone. For I think you have done a wonderful job moving forward with what has been put on your plate this past year and I am grateful that I may of given you some form of solace in your life with my way of communicating with others.

Being grateful to me is showing all forms of LOVE towards yourself and to others.

I am grateful to be here typing this to you and everyone else.

    Take care
    Gloria

  2. Oh, the wisdom of Peanuts! I try, at the end of the day, to come up with a few things I am grateful for. That's usually pretty easy for me, because as I get older I am easier to please (which has been a conscious choice). Part of this exercise is also looking at something that didn't go so well, and finding the "silver lining" or a "blessing in disguise." This is sometimes a bit more challenging, but I like the process, and I do find myself having a more positive mind set. And, like Gloria, I am grateful for this blog, and the lovely women who read and share.

  7. I feel very lucky to be a part of Mare's blog gang! I love Mare and all the stuff she/you post(s)! The Charlie Brown cartoon is priceless! I had very good news at the doctor today so I am very grateful for that, in addition to everything else!

Beth, you are a great treasure!

  8. Thank you Katie and I am so glad you had good news! It is always welcome to hear something good from a doctor!

I was due to fly out to NYC tomorrow but because of the storm coming in I had to rebook for Sunday. I hope things are settled and back on track by then. It will be fun to play in the snow but I don't want to fly or land in it!

Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer :-)
    Hugs, Beth

  9. The storm is starting to kick up on the East Coast. In my area, it is a normal winter day and nothing that is alarming. I was watching the news and Boston and the coast line is going to get the wrath of these two fronts coming together.

Beth...I hope you will be able to catch your flight out on Sunday. Fingers crossed for you.

Katie...I am so glad you received good news from you doctor.

Lou said it the best...we all came together on Ross' blog and I am glad Ross has reached for his star in the sky. He is doing very well now. I am happy for him...

I am working very hard on staying positive with what has been on my plate. Today the visiting nurse came and she was happy to listen that I am moving AIR too. They have concerns for the meds that the doctor increased can cause preventricular contractions and cause other issues. So far things are going well and I am breathing much easier.

Luv....you mentioned looking for the silver lining and that is how I feel right now. I had said all along that I felt I needed assistance on the heart side to help the lung side of my problems work better. Being in the hospital gave that "silver lining" to the doctors for they were able to catch what my heart really was doing on the monitor.

    Have a great weekend everyone!!
    Take Care,
    Gloria
