Ahhhh! Relaxing with your best pup while watching Storage Wars (a really fun show!)! What could be better? Kudos to you Mare!
I'm sweltering in an 85 degree home office. Our a/c broke. We don't dare call a repairman on the weekend. Monday! We have 185 fans set up and are pretending we're camping out or something. LOL Going out tonight to see a band in an air conditioned pub. Bet we'll go early. LOL Dinner there, too! Yay!
Hope you are all well and happy! Our heat wave should break Monday.
Good Morning everyone, Last night I wrote on the previous picture page and then found Mare had posted this one.......so I shared alittle situation our family dealt with since Memorial Day. Sad but life goes on.
Today my brother is here from Saratoga. I had fios installed a year ago, and one of my outlets in my bedroom did not work so I asked my brother to bring his tools to fix it. He has the electrical certification from his job that he did for the State of New York. Anyway, Verizon drilled through one bedroom wall into my bedroon and took out part of my electrical wiring. So my son and my brother are running a new line right now so I can have electricity to that outlet. I feel so bad and I should call Verizon but my brother said since it was a year ago, they might not fix it so he is taking care of it. Unfortunately, the storm that hit out west is suppose to bring high winds and rain to this area so I am worried about them driving home. They have their medication so they can stay here tonight, if necessary.
Lou....My sister's granddaughter moved to Oklahoma about 6 months ago. She lives in Shawnee which is the town over from Moore. I was so nervous with all the tornadoes in that area. So far she was ok.... Sad that 3 tornado chasers were killed in El Reno I heard.
So a visit with my brother turned into a work operation.
My lung doctor has me going to pulmonary rehab where I am working out on gym equipment to keep my muscles strong. It is at a slow pace but I feel ok doing it. My oxygen is increased to 5 liters while I do the short exercise bikes, tread mill but it is also helping the diabetic situation that has come on with taking the prednisone. I really like my new doctor. He did blood work on me and the reason my lungs went down hill so fast is that I have a genetic link that caused things to get so bad. So my siblings and my children have to be tested as well. It is called Alpha I and I carry the bad gene. My liver is not sending a protein that my lungs need to function properly. If this blood test had been done when I first started going to the lung doctors, I could of gone through infusion treatments where they could of given me the protein, now being on a lung transplant list, medicare would not pay for this treatment due to my heart problems. Sad that a new doctor found out the real problem but I am not giving up. I continue on, just at a slower rate....
GLORIA, I'LL DROP YOU A NOTE.I ALWAY TAKE UP SO MUCH SPACE HERE.
MARE DID YOU GET ANY BAD WEATHER OUT YOUR WAY BEFORE IT HEADED INTO THE MIDWEST. WHEN I LIVE RIGHT THERE WHERE THE STORMS HIT I DID ALOT OF OVERTIME PRAYING FOR PROTECTION OF OUR AREA.I'LL HAVE TO TELL YOU A STORY ABOUT A TORNADO STORM SOMETIME THAT WAS A NEAR MISS WHEN WE LIVED THERE IN OK CITY. I HOPE YOUR GETTING SOME REST.HUGS LOU
Mare your Good Points photos and ads have been exceptionally good the last week or two! Kudos to you! So creative!
Took my car to the shop today and they wanted $6000 to fix the transmission and air conditioning so I have to shop around somewhere else to get those fixed. Just maddening!
Gloria, glad you are doing a lot better!
Hope all of you are well and happy! The heat wave broke here so I'm happy! LOL
