Smoke balls. Little round colored balls with a wick that you light for the Fourth of July and color rolls out if them in billowing fog. They are some of the safer fireworks and kids write on the sidewalk with them!
HOW COOL. I JUST BET YOUR GRANDKIDS WROTE THAT ON THE SIDEWALK JUST BECAUSE YOU ROCK. I'M NOT INTO FIREWORKSS UNLESS DONE IN A PROTECTED PLACE. ONE OF OUR NEIGHBORS IN OKLAHOMA CITY YEARS AGO LOST THEIR HOMES BY FIRE. [BOTTLE ROCKET LANDED ON THE ROOF] ALSO, HUMANS HAVE NO CONSIDERATION FOR THE WILDLIFE.JUST PITIFUL HOW WE THINK OF OUR OWN ENJOYMENT OVER OTHERS.YES, I AGREE THE BIG FIRWORKS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND YES I ALWAY LOVED SEEING THEM BUT NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE THERE'RE ANIMALS, BIRDS, SICK PEOPLE AND SLEEPING BABIES. JUST MY TWO CENTS.THE GOVERMENT MAKE LAWS TO OUTLAW THEM AND YET THEY DO NOTHING ABOUT STOPPING IT. I'M ONLY FOR THEM IN CONTROLLED AREA BUT THEN I WOULD WORRY ABOUT THE ANIMALS IN NATURE.
I'm with you about fireworks, Lou. They have been banned in Anaheim for quite a few years, and yet some neighbors shoot them off any way. And I am talking about the big, flashy (and loud) fireworks like you would see at a professional fireworks show. My dogs suffer terribly, although wearing a Thundershirt helps to cut some of their anxiety reaction. They have already started setting them off on the street behind me. Last night one went off right over my house, and I thought someone's house blew up, it was so loud. Scary for all of us. I will be happy next week, when it finally ends.
LOV, I'M SO GLAD SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME. IT'S JUST NOT FAIR FOR ALL THE ANIMALS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. I DON'T MIND THE KIDS WITH THERE SPARKLERS AND THINGS THAT DON'T MAKE THE LOUD NOISE. I HATE IT AND THAT'S ALL I'M GOING TO SAY ABOUT. I'M AN ANIMAL LOVER AND SOMEONE HAS TO SPEAK UP FOR THEM. LOU
ENJOY YOUR DAY WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS (HUMAN OR ANIMAL).
The neighbors behind me found out a couple of years ago about blowing off fireworks in my backyard. I went outside and the sparks were so low, it could of caught my house on fire. I yelled to them to stop or I would call the police. One of the finest from Cicero New York took care of them. It is illegal in New York to set off fireworks. I remember buying my kids the sparklers when they were younger, the smoke balls (we called them bombers)and it was a fun time. People ruin it for they bring in the big fireworks into the neighborhoods. My cats use to go crazy too.
WHAT?
