lots of chamnges
lots of work
off for another busy
day...
if you didn't guess the
little store we work
in is on the move
opened a new one
and another business was
added
this location is
done as of friday
time to head off and try
to keep up the
pace
lots of selling and packing
and by Thursday I'll
be cleaning
who wants to come help?

can you tell I got just a BIT
distracted at
work today...I had piled up all
the fixtures to be
moved and
when i turned around "creepy girl"
was staring at
me...thought
she
needed to have her picture
taken....and of course
having two "naked" people there as well
called for a photo op...
*sigh*
WOW, WHAT A JOB. I FEEL FOR YOU AND MIKE. I HOPE YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THE MOVE ALL BY YOURSELF.I COULD NEVER DO IT. WE NEED TO DOWSIZE AGAIN SO BAD. JUST DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT. GRAMPS IS PREPARING FOR SURGERY AND HERE I SIT AND CAN'T HELP. THE DAUGHTERS WILL TAKE OVER MY DUTIES.THAT'S LIFE.

It's been over a couple of months and mostly us...We s=old out a LOT of the merchandise so it didn't have to be moved as the other store is well stocked already. We were SOOOO busy with customers because of the sales and although we are on the same server as the other store it ran waaaay too slowly so we put everyting in at THIS store and then Mike had to take it to the other store and reneter so so so many transactions. He finally got caught up but now I've been inventorying...my hands are SO sore from handling merchandise and I've gone through (plural) pens and notebooks whew...
DeleteIs the new store located in your town still, Mare? It sounds like the business is expanding, and that's exciting! Change is good!
ReplyDeleteLuv, the store is in a town about 22 miles away. I know in a city that might not be a lot, but out here it can a looooong way considering we won't be able to get across the back roads as they become blocked and the highway that takes us there also becomes closed...hmmmm, not sure how this is going to go!!! Guess time will tell!!! We've talked about moving and we've also talked about (semi) retiring...so many decisions...does anyone have any sage words of advice?
DeleteWow! It's really happening! Is the photo of the old store or the new store? Are you and Mike supposed to run BOTH new stores?? Yikes, if so! Is Moe still there to help? How's our favorite dad, Dale?
ReplyDeleteThe contractors tell us our house will probably be finished in a month. It immediately goes on the market. Then all Hell breaks loose here. LOL We'll be supporting both houses financially, among other things. But our health is pretty good and our spirits are pretty good so we have the tools and strength to get through this next phase.

WELL! If that doesn't sound a bit nerve wracking!!! TWO houses! yikers....hoping your beautiful new home sells quickly.and that you can come to an agreement on where you'd like to move....we can't decide!
DeleteMike is managing the new that is a business just like the one we are closing...that takes him down to ONE...the other business is an embroidery business so while Mike may have to keep an eye out in that direction he won't have to be on top of it...
Be sure to let us know when the house is done! do we get a "tour"???

Oh my goodness Beth! I would take you up on it and I can tell you that you would be moving quickly....to stay warm!!!! It has been bitter (even for here and even with the heat turned up!)
DeleteOOPS...did I tell you this is the OLD store? I have given a tour of it before...will have to check on my youtube page to see if I have an old video in there that I can share again...also I need to take a video of the store now...so full of boxes and stuff! Hope it gets cleared out by FRIDAY!!
