Whether you celebrate big or small
May you have a blessed Christmas
As Christians my family and I celebrate
The birth of Christ
It is why we personally observe
This season
So from my home to yours
We wish you Gods blessings

MERRY CHRISTMAS PAL. YOUR DECORATIONS ARE VERY PRETTY. I AGREE CHRISTMAS IS JESUS BIRTHDAY AND WHAT A JOY TO STILL BE ABLE TO CELEBRATE HIS BIRTHDAY.JOY TO THE WORLD.
ReplyDeleteGRAMPS AND I SPENT THE DAY PUTTING OUR CHRISTMAS DINNER TOGETHER. WHAT A JOB. NOW I KNOW WHY I DON'T COOK AT MUCH ANYMORE. BUT IT ALL CAME TOGETHER NICELY. AGE HAS COME UPON JOEY. HE'S BEEN SICK AGAIN BUT SEEMS ALOT BETTER TODAY. THE VET WANTS US TO KEEP HIM ON THIS MEDICINE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE AT ALMOST 70 DOLLARS FOR I OC OF LIQUID. SHE MUST THINK WE HAVE A MONEY TREE IN OUR BACK YARD. WE'VE SPENT 100S, 100S 100S100S ON HIM SINCE WE'VE HAD HIM. JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. HIS AGE HAS ARRIVE. HE'S ALSO GETTING SNAPPY. TIME WILL TELL. WE'RE AT THE AGE THAT WE REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE A DOG. BUT HE'S FAMILY. FEELING SAD.
LOU
Thank you for the lovely post Mare. Just getting ready to go to church. I love the Christmas Eve service. It ends with each person lighting a candle off the one next to you and then singing Silent Night. Makes me cry every time.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family and very Blessed Christmas...AND all of you out there in Blog-land.
Hugs, Beth
Merry merry Christmas Ladies and Germ...Your Christmas post is beautiful, Mare. Your home decorations are beautiful too. We finally got in the spirit and got a live tree and decorated, too! Just in the last couple of days! It's so much fun! Even the furballs got very special food today, and will tomorrow too. And lots of toys and probably a catnip party tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have you and your blog in my life, Marilyn! And those others of you who know me, I feel the same way about you. It's all about connecting and having good people as friends.

Luvs, I'll be thinking of you this coming week as you have surgery! Shall I come be your nurse for a few days? I am not a nurse but I play one on TV. LOL Or is it "I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night"? In all seriousness, I hope it all goes well and you can be out of pain soon! Please update us periodically when you get the chances. xox
ReplyDeleteMystery solved..Ross sold his old Palm Springs home because he bought another in PS.
ReplyDeleteWELL! Finally am on the computer to check out and FINALLY edit this last post! LOL just a tad slow! I have "lost" the "reply" button although I can see your names! Gotta LOVE Blogger!
ReplyDeleteWe went to YS's for a couple day of visiting and a little decorating and hanging out (watched It's a Wonderful Life for the FIRST time!! go me!) and then out to Megan's...going out wasn't bad, but WHOA, coming home involved leaving between snow storms and then kind of running out of it only to hit 60 miles or so of BLACK ICE. Can I just say the mister was tired...On my list of "I'm too old for this crap comes NOT TRAVELING IN IFFY WEATHER....NOT. Gonna. DO.. IT!!!
Hoe you all had a great Christmas week whatever you did, however you celebrate and wherever you are.
On to the new year and some new resolutions (including ain't gonna take no more crap!!! see a pattern here???)
Hugs to everyone!!

CHRISTMAS WAS A DOWNER BUT YET IF YOUR A BELIEVER JOY. WE LOST OUR 16 YEAR OLD [LIKE AN ADOPTED GRAND DAUGHTER] TO CANCER DURNG CHRISTMAS. THEY THINK SHE PASSED AROUND 5 IN THE MORNING HOURS.. SO WHEN WE GOT THE CALL AT EIGHT OUR DAY WAS DONE. SHE WAS A JOY TO EVERYONE AROUND HER AND WE'LL MISS HER. HER FUNERAL WAS YESTERDAY.GRAMPS AND ALL MY FAMILY WENT. I STAYED HOME BECAUSE JOEY WAS VERY SICK. THIS MORNING HE WAS WORST SO THERE'S NO EASY WAY TO SAY IT BUT TO SAY HE CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE. GRAMPS TOOK HIM THIS MORNING. MY EYES HAVE CRIED SO MUCH THESE PASS FEW DAYS THAT IT FEELS LIKE I'M FALLING APART. THE VET DID TELL GRAMPS THAT HIS KIDNEYS HAD FAILED.PLUS OTHER THINGS I'M SURE. MY HEART IS BRIOKEN FOR HIM. AS FOR SIDNEY MY TEARS ARE NOT SO MUCH FOR HER BECAUSE SHE LOVED THE LORD AND NOW SHE'S OUT OF ALL PAIN. I CRY FOR HER MOM AND DAD. THEY'RE LIKE MY OWN KIDS AND IT HURST SO BAD.
ReplyDeleteENOUGH. THIS HAS BEEN A BAD YEAR BUT I'M SURE GOD IS READY FOR GRAMPS AND I TO HAVE SOME PEACE. HE'S ALWAY HERE AT MY SIDE. I FEEL HIS TOUCH AND HIS LOVE EVERYDAY. WITH THAT I'M CLOSING SO I CAN SPEND SOME QUIET TIME PRAISING HIM FOR GIVING ME THE STRENGTH TO GET THROUGH THIS PASS WEEK AND ESPECIALLY TODAY. I'LL MIS YOU JOEY AND MOM WILL ALWAY CARRY YOU IN MY HEART.
GRANNY
Oh, Lou. I am so sorry your young friend passed away. And now to lose Joey! My thoughts are with you and your family as you navigate this sad part of life's journey. I will light a candle in Joey's honor, just as I always do when one of our trusted companions goes across The Bridge.
ReplyDeleteGranny Lou,
ReplyDeleteI am so terribly sorry for both of the losses in your life. But you gotta remember that if Joey's little kidneys had given out, he was likely suffering, too, and now he's not. You will see him again at the Bridge. My heart goes out to you and Gramps...
Luvs, did you have your surgery? Are you okay? Thinking of you...xox
Hi everyone
Happy New Year
Katie
My surgery has been postponed until Jan. 13, because the surgeon had a heart attack. Hopefully, all will proceed as planned at that point. Thanks for thinking of me!
