What better than to find
a new friend in
the Christmas Clearance?
They work as pillows
so why not?
A bargain (and I do mean BARGAIN)
price along with function!

If you've been around for any length
of time, you know I LOOOOVE
a good bargain and as you can
see, that love of a great buy got passed on
down the line....

  1. Boy do I "get" that! LOL Kevin laughs at me because I just cannot pass up a great bargain! LOL Hi to Moe!

Great news for the day: Our realtor, Cindy, is making a video and slideshow, I think this weekend, of the old place! She may even be showing it tomorrow. The house is finished. It's on the market! Yesterday the Town had inspectors there for various inspections, all of which passed. Today was just the Town fire inspection and we did not pass that one. Seems the plumber has to come back and modify the furnace vent somehow to please them. Our old Town is notorious for being tough on inspections. So! We can finally say we made it through everything! It is 99% over, and we are coming out of it almost whole and happy and I feel like shouting it from the rooftops! LOL Will post links to the online listing once Cindy gets it done and uploaded. Anyone interested in a run-of-the-mill split level on a half acre in a housing development in the country in New Jersey for $300K? I didn't think so. LOL

(It's not really run of the mill. An interior decorator designed the entire new interior!)

    Yay!

  3. Where is everyone? Talk people! LOL Granny, how are you and Gramps? Please think of this from time to time --"Those that we've held in our arms, we hold in our hearts forever". I had that etched on the seat of a concrete bench for our yard.

Anyone heard anything from Gloria? Getting pretty worried here now.

Mare I can't think of a word this time, and have spent maybe 2 hours thinking about it this time. LOL

    Hugs to you all!

  5. JUST GOT OUT OF BLOG REHAB. WHY? BECAUSE I COULDN'T SEE ANY NEW POSTS FROM MARES' BLOG SINCE THE FIRST PART OF JANUARY.
I MISS THE OLD DAYS, NOT THIS PAST YEAR. I'M GLAD IT'S OVER. TO MUCH HEART BREAK. TIME TO LAUGH AGAIN. TRYING BUT VERY HARD. I CAN STILL FEEL JOEY ALL AROUND ME. SILLY I KNOW AND STILL CRY FOR HIM. I'VE ALWAY BEEN PROUD OF MYSELF FOR BEING ABLE TO LET GO BUT LOSING JOEY TO KIDNEY FAILURE IS WAY TO HARD. HE WAS SO SWEET AND WAY TO CUTE. NO MATTER WHERE I WAS IN THE HOUSE HE WAS RIGHT THERE AT MY FEET. GRAMPS HAD A HARD TIME LOSING HIM ALSO. EVEN LOOKED FOR HIM THE NEXT MORNING. GRAMPS IS DOING GOOD BUT HAS SLOWED DOWN SO MUCH. NO MORE PUPPIES FOR US. I NEVER WANT TO GO THROUGH LOSING ANOTHER.
WE SOLD OUR OTHER PLACE. CLOSING IN A FEW DAYS. THAT STRESS GONE, THANK THE GOOD LORD.
I HOPE WE HEAR FROM YOU MARE SOON.

    1. Lou, the pain of losing a pet is terrible. Joey was very lucky to have such a loving home, and I know what a blessing he was to you and your husband. I hope you will consider getting another dog. Maybe not a puppy, if that doesn't appeal to you, but a young dog to keep you company.

  7. Dear Granny Lou, I really do know how awful it feels to lost a little fur buddy. I still cry sometimes for Wilson, believe it or not. Also I used to have a kitty named Eddy Spaghetti who I rescued from some very irresponsible 20 year old boys shar8ng a house when Eddy was just under a year old. He was my best buddy ever in my liife and he saved me as much as I saved him. He was with me until he was about 10 years old and oh how I loved my Eddy. Then he got sick real fast one day and I had to do that awful thing we have to do sometimes--PTS. That was 9 years ago and I still sometimes cry for Eddy too. I don't even have a picture of him any more. Lost all of those in the stupid fire. But I remember very clearly exactly what he looked like and how lucky I was to be able to spend as much time with him as I got. RIP Joey, Wilson and Eddy Spaghetti...

  8. LETS PRANK MARE, WE COULD ARRIVE AT HER FRONT DOOR AND SAY WE'RE HERE TO STAY A MONTH. THEN RAID HER REFRIGERATOR. PLUS, TAKE SELF-PORTRAITS AND SET UP A BOOTH IN FRONT OF HER HOUSE AND SELL THEM TO HER NEIGHBORS. YUP, I THINK THATS A GOOD IDEA.
