And Saturday we took a little roadtrip
To see my sister MaryE and her hubby
Mike and I went through my fave "junque" shop
Then MaryE and I got out and picked up a few necessities and window shopped
Then we had a "cold drink" as my dad used to say
My hubby visited with her hubby while we were gone (her hubby is finally doing well after open heart surgery and a follow up procedure)
Then in another small town we stopped for a burger and the best shake/malt EVER.
Today was just about as lazy.
It was grocery gettin' time, a short nap, a walk and some techie stuff for the phone and computer.
Time to head into the workweek which I have to say is MUUUUCH shorter and easier for both of us!
Hope you had a great relaxing weekend too!!

FIRST...LOL
ReplyDeleteYOUR SATURDAY SOUNDED LIKE MY KIND OF DAY.I ALWAY LOVED WINDOW SHOPPING.I COULD GO ALL DAY WITH A FRIEND AND SOME DAYS NEVER BUY A THING. LOVED EVERY MINUTE. MY FAVORITE THING TO DO WAS GO TO OUTDOOR ART SHOWS. EITHER WITH A FRIEND OR MY KIDDOS OR BY MYSELF. IF YOU GO BY YOURSELF YOU CAN GO AT YOUR OWN PACE...

Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteLove the "junque shop" title! I will probably go to the Rose Bowl swap meet next month and get my fill of junque. Maybe I will see Ross!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you had good walk around weather. As Luv said, it has been great here. Lots of gardening going on!
Hugs, Beth
Afternoon, Ladies!
ReplyDeleteWell, first Mare, I need one of those quilted bags in your shop, then one of the old table reading lamps at the junque shop, then that sitting stool... how I long for a good, old-fashioned junque shop! And of course a fantastic malt (and burger!!). Isn't it lovely now that the weather is warming up? I think the last of our snow melted today and that's probably it for the year here. Been almost 60 the last 3 days, and I'll take it!
We sold our house last week, Then Sunday we un-sold our house. LOL The deal fell thru because they loved the house but did not want to live 4 miles from the landfill down the road. Funny thing is, that landfill has been closed for a while now except for accepting recycled computers, TVs, paint cans and the hard stuff to get rid of. LOL We never once smelled the place even when it was open. But those buyers were horrible and awful to deal with and I'm glad they hit the road in the end. With the cold and snow gone, we'll get more lookers and maybe even a better offer soon!
Glad to hear Mr Mary Etta is doing better. I miss her posts on here. Tell her that her fan club says hello, okay?
Don't work too hard. xoxox

Has anyone heard anything from or about Gloria?
