Good thing that didn't happen! I wasn't ready for it! Didn't even hear about it. I too think it will come when it's the right time, & we won't know until then. I have a working husband today,so, I am trying to clean a little. talked to my sister-in-law, will have them here in June.(9-14). Her husband's cancer is back, they have to wait on treatment as of right now. He has fought it for many years now!

ReplyDeleteI really try not to lump non-believers and people who have different views from mine all together. I wish the favor would be returned. Rude-yes, and often times very hurtful. I guess that is the point one just offers it up and prays for whomever it is that is being hurtful...easier said than done, but I do strive for that. I have to say though that I did have to chuckle at some of the "cute" world-ending comments...there were some that were fun and not hurtful and I did appreciate those.
Glad you had a good church service today...I see it is HOT at your location..here I sit just wishing for a warm day...the heat has still been on a few times the last few days. Hope you are feeling better than you were a couple days ago...
MaryE..I am SO sorry to hear about your BIL. He has really had so many set backs with the cancer he has but he continues to carry on.
Wonder how Katie and Beth are doing? Hope the weather is good for Katies vacation and that Beth finds THE house she is looking for..don't envy her looking in the housing market in California!
Hey Annie..do you have the beautiful pink flowers this year? I remember the ones you posted last year..My irises are thinking about blooming, but probably will be another week or more.
Amy..hope you are having fun playing in the dirt today..you have your little house spruced up...hats off to you for your perseverance in creating a nice home for your family...what a great example you are to them.
I really need to get busy...have just enjoyed sitting here in the quiet and looking out at the trees that are leafing out and the SUN SHINE!

ReplyDeleteMare, I had so much fun playing in the dirt yesterday - we are only renting this place, but it was a crack house before (no joke) so I am trying to get it cleaned up so that the former "customers" stop coming to my door! LOL Seriously, I've only had a few, and I haven't had any problems, but I just want the place to look nice, whether we own it or not. My landlord took a huge leap of faith by renting to a single unemployed mother with 5 kids, so the least I can do is clean up the place a bit.
I'm cleaning up inside now and then the little ones and I are going to go out and mow. It's gorgeous outside and I need the exercise, so it's perfect!
As for the end of the world nonsense - while I struggle with my own faith and beliefs, I know that no one can predict when it's going to happen. It's going to happen at some point, and we need to live our lives and be prepared for it. Period. Our pastor at church cracked a couple of jokes about it this morning - she has a wonderful sense of humor!
Anyway, break time over. Time to switch some more laundry around, pick up some toys, and head outside!!!
OOh, sounds good Amy..doesn't it smell good and LOOK good after mowing?? I hear the neighbors mowing right now (because NO RAIN today!!) We have rented more than we've owned and we always treated our home as if we DID own them...I felt like it reflected who we are and that this is OUR HOME no matter what..I'm so glad you found someone to take a chance on you...looks like a good move on his part renting to you! :)

AMY, I JUST READ YOUR POST AND I HAD TO LAUGH. THIS REPO HOME WE BOUGHT WE COULD TELL THEY USED DRUGS ALSO. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE. NICE NEIGHBORHOOD OR OTHER,RICH, POOR THE DRUGGYS ARE EVERWHERE. THIS IS A LOVELY HOUSE INSIDE AND OUT BUT BEFORE THE PEOPLE WERE KICKED TO THE CURB THEY DID THINGS TO THE PLACE THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN JAIL FOR. THE NEIGHBORS ARE SO GLAD TO SEE THEM GONE. GRAMPS HAS SPENT A YEAR AND A HALF REDOING THE INSIDE. THEY EVEN BROKE GLASS INTO TINY BITS AND SPREAD IT ALL OVER THE YARD.I THINK LITTLE BY LITTLE I'VE PICK MOST OF IT UP BUT I KNOW I WOULDN'T GO OUT BAREFOOTED. IT TAKES ALL KINDS TO MAKE A WORLD. ReplyDeleteMr.NYC is here all week and he is helping me pack. I am giving him some time off to have fun! He gets to play golf one day and then on Wednesday we are going to see a taping of the Craig Ferguson Late Late show. That should be fun...and then back to work! I love the chair picture also. Hi ladies! I'm posting from my phone so this will be short. It's good to read and catch up with everything! We are having a good time and the weather is perfect so far. Spent today at the beach. Good morning. I love reading all of your comments! Such a good group of people. My little sis was always good at choosing her friends. I am being lazy, but need to get busy. Have a lot to do. Believe I will buy birdseed today & take it along with bird feeder, for dad. He is enjoying the birds a lot. I saw a cardinal & maybe he will come a little closer if there is food for him. Decided I would take dad some candy & a little Dr.Pepper today. He will enjoy that I am sure!

ReplyDeleteMy sister and Mr.NYC took a load of boxes down to my mom's so I am playing hookie for a minute! We did look at houses on Friday but didn't find anything. And yes, he will retire and move out here in 4 years so I am trying to find a house for both of us. At times it is a challenge but I will get there I know.
Mary-I just know your dad will love the bird feeder and Dr.Pepper to top it off, perfect! As we have said many times in this blog, it is the little things that are SO important. We can tell you are a good person just like our dear Mare!
