YIPPEEE!! We have seating again! I had looked online and found a very small loveseat i LOVED by the same company and called the lady helping us...turns out it was the one we had looked at on the floor AND did go (is compatible) to the sofa sleeper...Hubby said..call them (and i was still dragging my feet seeing $$$$ flying past me!) But am so glad i did...
The delivery truck showed up early this a.m. and from the moment the cushions came in the door..I was IN LOVE (ok, that was a bit strong, but I'll just say I was happy with my choice) This is a small, odd-shaped space and these are perfect and I LOVE the color (which btw is called "mink") AND (even though not as important) they match the wall color perfectly!
WHW...deep breath...one obsession down, many more to come...trying to get this show on the road...pardon the "piles" in the pictures...no pictures hung yet, still sorting little things, etc...you know how it goes...right??
Have a great day everyone...we are off to see another ball game this afternoon...
Mare
I think they look great and I love that Ole is checking things out. You can't be too careful you know!

MARE,LOVE LOVE LOVE THE COLOR. SO SO NICE. OLE IS SO CUTE LOOKING OUT HIS NEW SLEEPER. LOL YOU GOT TO LOVE OUR BABIES.
ReplyDeleteMY COLLEGE GRANDDAUGHTER WAS HERE AND HANGING OUT WITH ME THIS AFTERNOON. SHE WANTS MY MAZDA SO BAD TO TAKE BACK TO SCHOOL. IT'S SO HARD TO SAY NO TO HER. I TOLD HER SHE NEEDS A JUNKER FOR COLLEGE PARKING LOTS. KIDS DON'T HAVE A CLUE. IF IT WASN'T A COLLECTORS' CAR. I'D THINK ABOUT IT.IT JUST SITS IN THE GARAGE WITH LOW MILEAGE AND NEVER GETS DROVE. I'VE GOT TO MAKE UP MY MIND WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH IT.
ENJOY THE FURNITURE. YOU DID GOOD.

Mare, how fun that you found a loveseat! Looks like Ole has given his stamp of approval. I love the arched doorway. Is that between the living and dining rooms? Older homes have so much character, don't they? My house is 60 years old, and has wonderful oak floors. It also had acoustic ceilings, which I had scraped off. What colors have you painted your house? So nice!
ReplyDeleteOK, just popping in really quick! Mare, I love the furniture and what I can see of the house! It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI haven't said anything on my blog (and I probably won't) but I'm so so so glad I made this trip - I knew that my mother was getting worse, and I was right. :( She is really "out there" as far as her memory goes, and it's so sad to see it. Dad seems to be holding his own, and hers too. =/ At least now I know 100% for sure that making this trip was the right thing to do, even though this leg of it has been extremely difficult.
Anyway, I need to run for now. I need sleep. Hitting the road again in the afternoon for our final "big" leg of the trip.
Oh, and on a side note - I'm showing up on your list, although it has me in State College - I'm actually in Altoona, about 45 miles from there, but it's close! We were in State College earlier today! ;)
Have a good one, everyone!
:)

AMY, MARE AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU TO HAVE A SAFE TRIP. I'D HATE TO SEE YOU DRIVE WHEN YOUR TIRED..TAKE LOTS OF BREAKS.IT'S BEEN A LONG TRIP AND I'VE ENJOYED READING THE YOUR BLOG. YOUR KIDS ARE SO SPECIAL. YOUR ONE LUCKY MOM. YOU WIN MY AWARD FOR MOTHER OF THE YEAR. I WISH YOU LIVED CLOSER TO YOUR MOM AND DAD. I'M SURE THEY DO ALSO.
ReplyDeleteMARE, I LOVE THE COLOR OF YOUR WALLS AND THE WOOD FLOORS. AGAIN YOU DID GOOD. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE WHOLE PLACE IS DONE. LOL. WE'RE STILL WORKING ON OUR HOME AND IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR. YUK.TODAY GRAMPS IS AT THE OTHER HOUSE WASHING WINDOWS. I THINK IT'S AN EXCUSE TO GET AWAY FROM JOEY AND HIS BARKING. WHEN GRAMPS IS OUT FOR THE DAY JOEY JUST SLEEPS. AS SOON AS HE GETS HOME JOEY STARTS IN WITH HIS BARKING. IT'S LIKE HE'S TELLING GRAMPS SOME NERVE GOING AWAY ALL DAY AND LIVING ME HOME WITH MOM. HE'S ONE FUNNY DOG. HE LOVES HIS GRAMPS.

Good aft all...I really need to get up and busy again...I did sort bills and wrote out checks (and need to write out a couple more for dad) and made some curry and a couple sandwiches for mike's lunch...and made the bed....ok, I'm just trying to convince myself that I was a busy girl! I really need to get around and pack as I am driving back to Western Ne...I have DONE HAD IT HERE! Just kidding! It is my oldest granddaughter's 17th birthday and I think I had to miss one once and she still hasn't recovered from that yet! She is quite mad at me right now as she thinks I am not coming...I dread the drive as I really had jacked my hip with this move and do a LOT of limping around..and it was JUST getting better..oh well...will be a good visit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thumbs up on the furniture...see how much i like you guys...I even posted my undone of a house! I HATE having people see my mess! I promise I will do TRUE before and afters at some point..so much running in between we have had a slow go of it...Hopefully at that time I can take decent pics and you can see what colors, etc there really are in here...nothing fancy but making it liveable..Like I just saw someone on another blog say it seems like it should all be PERFECT as we see a lot of sites and doctored photos, and what I live in is REAL LIFE! Cobwebs and all!
Amy thanks for checking in..keeping prayers going for your safe journey and I am so glad you visited your folks...you will never regret that. I know it probably has not been an easy trip with the 5 kidlets, and also just the expense and driving, BUT sounds like a wonderful time...
Have any of you checked the "twitter" on the side?? There is one that at least a couple of you should get a kick out of "12 o"clock and all is well" I think I called it...It's Ole giving a "shout out" to the noon fire whistle that they blow here in town...
OK, really need to jet...Beth any luck on house hunting?? TG, how are the feet? LUVS, would love to see a good pic of your pup (or pups) Annie, have you gotten lost?? MaryE...Love you!
Ok, I really DO have to go...
Good summer afternoon all...
Mare
MARE, THE FOOT IS MUCH BETTER. I HAVE PAIN IN BOTH FEET ALL THE TIME. I JUST LIVE WITH IT BECAUSE I KNOW THERE'RE OTHER WHO ARE SUFFERING FAR WORSE THAN MYSELF. WHATEVER THAT WAS LAST WEEK I WOULDN'T WISH ON ANYONE.IT HURT SO BAD AND NOT BEING ABLE TO WALK ON THE FOOT WAS MORE THAN I COULD BEAR. IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME I'VE HAD PAIN LIKE THAT.I'M JUST GLAD IT WENT AWAY.THIS WEEK I CAN LAUGH OUT LOUD AGAIN.SO YOU SEE EVERYTHING WORKS TOGETHER FOR GOOD. THIS WEEK I'M GOOD.
ReplyDeleteDID YOU ALL SEE WHERE THOSE GOLDFISH WERE STILL LIVING AFTER A MONTH IN THAT FISHTANK. THE BUILDING HAD FLATTEN FROM ONE OF THOSE DIASTERS THAT HAVE TAKEN PLACE RECENTLY.CRAZY. MY FIRST THOUGHT WHEN I HEARD IT ON TV TODAY WAS WELL,IT JUST WASN'T TIME FOR THEM TO GO TO FISH HEAVEN.
NOW ON TO SOMETHING SERIOUS. [BEDTIME]
