Another nice day...not as warm, but rather pleasant for this time of year in the middle of the United States.
Hubby grew up around where we live now (until 13) and then they moved to O'Neill, (where we met and married.)
Here's a little view of what we saw along the way today...nothing exciting...just takin' you along for the ride...

Sounds like you had a nice day!! Would be nice to drive around when it is this nice. We went to church & breakfast, of course, had a little nap. Went to a grand daughters BB game. They didn't win, but had fun trying. We stopped to visit dad & he is a lot better. He had a couple of rough days. Went to the Dr. with him on Thurs., went to see him Fri., Hubby went to check on Sat, & we both went today. He even went to the church service this pm!!!

Still haven't figured out how to use this new little table I bought myself!!! Have been tempted to send it back as it does no good when you aren't smart enough to figure it out. I am easily confused when its anything technical, as you can tell.
We have 5 days of school this week, then only 4 next week. yea!!! May not get back to visit dad until the weekend since there is another game (grandsons) to see then. (actually about 3 this week.
Looks like you had a very nice drive little sis! I hope you're rested & ready for the coming week.
So hard to believe that my 11 yr. old grand daughter turns 12 in about 3 days! They are all growing up to fast.

Well, after I posted, I thought I should have explained a little...wound up taking pics of houses in little towns, the country and the church where mike's gpa and gma are buried...
ReplyDeleteThe one house with toilet paper in the trees had a sign explaining that it was "chit" to turn 40...therefore the toilet paper ALL over the place! the blue house was an older home that had two HUGE lions (well, a lion and a lioness) guarding the front door...was a "drive by" pic so I didn't get a good angle so you could see how big they are, BUT it rather tickled me. The picture of the old house, was just an abandoned place...so sad..so, there you have it...took some others that I thought were interesting, BUT blogger is being odd about how many I could post.

MaryE, can't believe N will be 12! but then my %3 grand will be turning 10 in 3 days..it goes so quickly! I forget the two girls are so close date (and also age) wise.

MARE I LOVE THE TP PICTURE. THE KIDS IN TEXAS TP OUR HOUSE PLUS SHAVING CREAM WAS ALWAY BIG. THE KIDS WOULD WRITE A MESSAGE ON THE GRASS IN THE YARD. THE NIGHT THEY TP OUR HOUSE AND TREES THEY WROTE, WRITE YOUR OWN MESSAGE AND THEY LEFT TWO CANS OF SHAVING CREAM. IF YOUR HOUSE GOT TP IT ALWAY MEANT IT WAS ONE OF THE KIDS FRIENDTHEY HUNG OUT WITH.I WISH I'D TAKEN PICTURES. IT REALLY WAS FUNNY AND NO HARM DONE, JUST FUNNY. I BET THEY USED 20 ROLLS. WE SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE ORDEAL. LITTLE POOPS.

Hey all...just stopping by to say goodnight...TG, I was wondering too how you guys knew anon was turned off..I assumed it was because someone tried to post as anon to see and they couldn't post??? I have to admit I don't even check it much anymore which is really sad cuz at one time I checked several times a day as we "marched" through to 100 and made up little poems along the way (remember Beth??) Also heard you on Ross' radio show Beth...SO glad he remembers you all the time...just seems to sweet..I don't know that I realized he and Sal were "an item" when you had your date...did you know that he was going to go along too (and also LUCKY YOU..Ryan was along too.)

ANONYMOUS IS TURNED OFF. IT'S UP AND RUNNING AGAIN.KAREN, CEE, CHERRISH, BEAR, AND I ARE ON A ROLL AGAIN. IT JUST GIVES ME SOMETHING TO DO.I DON'T TAKE THINGS TO SERIOUS ANYMORE. I DIDN'T LOOK AT ANY HOUSES LAST MONTH. NONE CAME ON THE MARKET AROUND HERE THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN. THE MARKET IS UNFORTUNATELY VERY HOT AROUND HERE AND IF SOMETHING COMES ON IN MY PRICE RANGE AND IN THE AREA THAT I WANT, IT IS GONE QUICKLY! IT IS VERY DIFFICULT.
Katie-my son is all better and back to school. He is a Chem.major and very stressed. I really feel for him, his school schedule is extremely difficult! How is your mom?
Mare-Yes, I DO remember those marches to 100 and the 'poem' day AND I remember you WON, soundly!!! I do find it very sad that some very sick people have ruined Ross' site. Ross had just started dating Sal when we went on our group date! He confided to me about this but asked me to not say anything.It was such a fun night. All of them were so polite and extrememly fun. I was a nervous wreck!!! I don't check his site very often either and it was such a random fluke that I checked it when I was in NY and saw he was doing the radio type call in. I gave it a try, and what do you know, I got on! Again, very random, but fun! I just wanted to say hi and felt very lucky that I got to do so!
Well, I am going to go do some back exercises. Yes, I said it....now I have to go do it! I have a bad back and have been told for years to try and strengthen it by doing this. Ok, here I go....really, here I go...! :-)
