It was chemo round 8 out of 12 for Megan today. This sad reminder popped up on my phone yesterday...how I hate to see it. There are 4 rounds left...she is forging bravely ahead. She keeps working and going to anything the girls are involved in. She is my strong-headed trooper, the very thing that got her into trouble is what is helping to keep her alive. What a girl I have. Never did I dream while looking into that sweet baby's face what she would have to endure in her life...she has gone through a LOT..It has not been an easy road for her.
I have to ask myself "why", but that always follows with "why not"...
I know we were never promised joy with pain...that's not how real life works.
One day at a time, going forward, looking ahead, trusting...loving and believing..
That's all we can do...that's everything.
Megan gets her strength from her mother.

ReplyDeleteWhat a precious picture. I agree with Luvs...you are her strength. When she is done with this nightmare she will be so strong she won't know what to do with it! (and won't that be nice?!)
ReplyDeleteHugs and Prayers,
Beth
Just look at your beautiful red-headed baby!! (Her hair was red in the pic, right?)
ReplyDeleteMegan gets strength from you but she also has found some inner strength of her own, I'd imagine. She couldn't be the fighter she is without it. I'm so happy she's so far along in her chemo! Medicine today does some miraculous things!
Go Megan! Bear hugs to Marilyn.
Katie
Just want you to know that my Prayers are with your daughter, and you also. How difficult it must be to watch your daughter go through this. You both are very strong women. May God's blessings be with you.
ReplyDeleteJust a Peeker, as we are called, but wanted you know that even we think about you all the time.
Thanks everyone...It was a rough evening for Megan and a rough night last night...So hard to know she is going through this! She does feel all the support..it is amazing.
ReplyDeleteKatie, yes, that is my auburn-haired little girl...and even though MY hair looks died in the picture...it was not! lol
Thank you Peeker for your kind words..I think you might be fro the "georgia" feed?? No matter, you are welcome here.
Beth, Luvs, TG, Casey, Annie, BB, Amy and Peeker and any other...your support helps so much...
It was just one of those evening...Megan had been trying to text me as she felt awful and just couldn't get the words straight...it was heart wrenching for me as I love her so and am so far away...
Go make it a great day everyone....
Hugs..Mare
