Headed Into The Sunset
Well, I know that sounds ominous, but it's really all good. My first grandchild turns 18 on August 1st. How did the time fly by so quickly? That sweet baby girl is now a beautiful young adult. She is entering the last year of highschool...
As for the"heading west part" that is where they live...western Nebraska..and since I'm in the eastern part of the state, I'll be heading west..This is a picture of the Monument you can see from where they live..I miss it..it calls to me..I hear it whispering, "come home"...and I am...I will "see you" when I get back, but I'm not sure when...we have two county fairs back to back to take the store trailer to as soon as I return...we're praying the weather will be cooler. Our granddaughter is coming back to help out. We appreciate that SO much!
SO...off I go early in the morning...I am packed and think I will go top off the gas tonight so i will be ready...
500 mile road trip here I come!!!

By now, you are probably well on your way, Mare. Have a safe journey. I love a road trip. Is Ole on board?

Mare, I hope you had a good trip west! That's such a long drive! Happy birthday Mo! They grow up so fast...
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Have a good week!
Katie
Good afternoon Mare and all you great Blog Buddies (to use Ross's term!)!
ReplyDeleteWe have a beautiful low 80s day here with little humidity. It's such a wonderful thing after the hot humid spell we just had! It affects everything one does! Hope your weather is good, wherever you are!
Mare I hope you are having fun at Megan's! How is she feeling? Miss you! But you have fun and we'll hear from you when you get a break, I'm sure.
Luvs, sure hope you are able to get a plot in your new community garden! I shamefully have a beautiful raised garden in our back yard that I have not only not planted this year, I have not cleaned out the 4 foot weeds from LAST year yet! Life has just been a little too crazy and there's been no time. xox to you
Beth, are you in Cali? The weather break here becons you to NY! And I seem to think there's another reason you might want to go to NY...LOL Hope all is well!
Have a good week everyone!
xox to all

Katie, I did get a plot in the community garden. I am thinking about what to plant. I want to get something in there before the grand opening festivities later this month. Thanks for asking!
ReplyDeleteLuvs, green peppers are fun to grow and yummy to eat! You can also cut up fresh peppers into pieces and freeze them in freezer Zip-loc bags! Oh it will be so much fun deciding what to grow! Good luck! :)\
