Katie-huge hugs go out to you and I am on the prayer chain also. You were there for your family and I believe also that things are in God's hands. May your brother go in peace...and you and your family have strength in this difficult time.
Hey! We're the coldest on Mare's list right now! That's rare! And I just went out without a coat. I hate wearing a coat. I do have on a heavy sweater with a t-shirt underneath. Layers, you know.
Hospice has given my brother not more than a couple of days and really any minute now. He's real bad. I'm okay with it, as are my sister and mom. In fact, mom is real sick right now from over-exhaustion. He back is out, her knee is out and she has walking pneumonia. She is still sitting with my brother. He keeps calling out for "mama". This is sad but it's time.
Katie- Mare put it well. Prayers going out to you and your family at this difficult time. We are all here for you and we want to know what is going on. Please feel us with you through this. SueZK
My brother Don passed away last night at around 6:30 pm (Thursday). It was peaceful and his sons were with him. I'm okay and mom will be okay. I think she'll sleep for about 2 weeks. He's at rest now. Thanks for letting me talk about this. xox Katie
Kathy thank you so much for letting us know. I have certainly thought about u all evening. I am thankful his passing was peaceful and that he is now at rest. Praying your mom will be at peace during what is surely any parents darkest time. You are most certainly a blessing to her. Wish I could give you a "for real" big hug. M
I'LL KEEP YOUR MOM IN MY PRAYERS. SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH THESE PAST FEW MONTHS.THERE'S NOTHING LIKE A MOTHERS LOVE. I WISH YOU COULD BE WITH HER AT THIS TIME.I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOST.
KATIE-prayers and peace are being sent to you and your family. You have all been so strong for your brother and now he is at peace. Take care of yourself too Katie you're special to us. Thank you for keeping us informed. SueZK
Kathie...I am so sorry to read the passing of your brother. The prayers always help at these difficult times and enrich all of us in so many ways when other's reach out the olive branch of love to another in time of need. Your Mom is in my thoughts and I know this is very sad for her, You and your family are in my thoughts for he was your BROTHER. Take your memories back in time when you all played and laughed together, shared those secrets we did not want Mom and Dad to know about when we were little but shared them when we were older. May your Brother's family find peace within that they helped him in his last journey of life. When YOU have your love ones near, it helps everyone. I am glad you got home to see him before his passing. I am sorry for your lost. Keep those wonderful memories close to your heart.
Katie, I am relieved to hear that Don is no longer in pain, but I know what a sorrowful time this is for all who loved him. I feel like I got to know a bit about him through you, and he sounds like a great guy. Take good care of yourself.
Katie, I also want to give you my support, prayers and cyber HUGs at this time. It is a relief that Don is no longer suffering but also know that this is a difficult time for all of you. We all care about you here... Hugs, Beth
Thank you so much, ladies, for your kindness and support. I'm doing okay and am just a little sad right now. Kev is spoiling me and helping me keep things low-key and easy for now. My mom is even doing better than I had expected she would. She said she was ready. We're all marching forward. But your love and hugs feel mighty good!
I need to remind myself of the same thing....
ReplyDeleteTake care!!
MARE, ME TOO.
