YS will meet me with my car then 90 miles and I'm back to reality.
This is my first train ride and I'm on the top deck and its dark out and I don't like not having a sense of where I am. It's also a FULL train. Aw. New experiences. I'm not good with them!!
It was so good to be with Megan and her family. I hate the miles between us. But there are no miles between our hearts!
And just a p.s. the crazed pooch in the picture is my grandpup Oscar. What a silly guy. He cried when I left!!

First train ride! Too bad it had to be in the dark. I think it would be unsettling to be on the top deck and not have a sense of being grounded, too. Love all your photos, Mare. You always capture such nice moments in your life, and it's fun to get a little peek inside!

I have a major favor to ask of all... This is a downer and I do not mean to bring this type of stuff to this blog. In my community of Syracuse surrounding area, a young 29 year old man abducted a mother and 10 year old child from one of our malls. He was out on bail with a ankle bracelet monitored by the Federal Government due to Child Porn. Since he did not have any prior arrests they released him from federal prison in January with the ankle bracelet. On Thursday night, he disarmed the bracelet, went to the mall abducted the mother and child. He raped the 10 year old child and then stabbed the mother to death. The little girl freed herself from him and ran up the road and a passerby stopped to help this child. This took place at 9PM while the mother was picking the child up from gymnastic class. The mother was a school librarian and she had adopted this little girl from China 10 years ago. The little girl and her mother need prayers of peace and love to come to them. This man lived down the road from my house (Lou....corner of Whiting Road and Lakeshore). This has rocked our community beyond words. I ask of you tonight to light a candle in the memory of Lori (the mother) and for her child.
ReplyDeleteI can not comprehend how someone could do such a vial act to a child and then proceed to kill her mother in front of her. It is beyond my comprehension. I ask of you to pray for this family....
