I HEARD TODAY THAT MY UPSTATE NEW YORK MOUNTAINS ARE IN FULL COLORS. I'D LOVE TO BE THERE RIGHT NOW. I'D EVEN STOP AND TAKE GLORIA WITH ME TO ENOYTHE FALL BEAUTY.
Are you all still experiencing fall weather? We don't usually have an Indian Summer here but we seem to be having one now! It's around 80F most days but in the 40s at night. Very warm for this time of year. I'm not complaining though!
We are driving to Pittsburgh this weekend for a long weekend. Going to a family wedding. It's about a 6 hour drive absolutely straight west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, including several tunnels through the Adirondack mountains! Root for no snow! LOL
Hope you all have a great rest of the week and weekend. I'm off right now for a day of pampering! First up, a manicure and pedicure then going to get my hair done. Needs a trim. If you haven't had a day of pampering for a while, I highly recommend it! Really lifts the spirits, even if you're just an aging hippie like I am. LOL
I love the Fall weather and the leaves changing into such beautiful colors. Yes, Lou the leaves are changing and it is a beautiful picture to take a ride around here to see. This year my maple in the back yard turned bright red leaves. It was the first time ever. Usually yellow leaves and a deeper golden yellow would appear. This year RED. My older brother said it was from all the rain we had in the spring created more sap to be produced (sugar) in the tree and that is why the leaves turned this beautiful shade of red. I raked the leaves from my scooter. I drove back and forth with the big rake and gathered them up and put them in the leaf bags. So easy to do and I simply held the rake.
Feeling good lately so that is a plus, plus for me. The pulmonary rehab program has helped a great deal.
I have put my house up for sale. I really looked at how big it is, how long it takes me to do things and said...it is time to let go of a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom colonial house that I have lived in for 33 years. At first it bothered me, I felt sad and then I said there is so much more to this house and land that another family can enjoy. I will miss my neighbors dearly and they were sad to see the sign go up but I know I can not keep up with it anymore.
The weather here is exactly as Katie mentioned. I am loving each day that I can be outside and enjoying the fall weather.

I CAN'T GET GRAMPS TO PUT THE GARAGE DOOR DOWN WHEN HE MOWING THE YARD. IT SCARED ME TO DEATH. SINCE MOVING INTO THIS HOUSE HE HAS VISITED THE BACK PORCH TWICE AND THE YARD MANY TIMES. MY NEIGHBOR FOUND ONE IN HER BEDROOM CLOSET A COUPLE YEARS AGO.[THE BLACK ONE] THEY WERE HAVING AN INGROUND POOL PUT IN AND THEY LEFT THERE DOOR OPEN. I HATE SNAKES NO MATTER WHAT KIND THEY ARE.

MY ADOPTED DAUGHTER [DAUGHTER'S BEST FRIEND] BROUGHT PIZZA FOR OUR DINNER PLUS, PASTA. YUMMY. GETTING THE HOUSE ALL CLEANED UP WAS THE BEST PRESENT.. A TROPICAL STORM IS FORMING IN THE GULF.
