I am back in NYC. This time we are going on an actual vacation! Leaving Monday for the North Fork of Long Island. Out in the 'country' to a cottage on a lake. Can't wait...
Beth, Sounds lovely! Perhaps one afternoon you'll take the ferry across the fork and go to Montauk. Some lovely restaurants there, and if you like fresh seafood, you'll love it there. Have a terrific time! Looks like you're going to have beautiful weather!
Marilyn, Must I save up all my money and just secretly buy you a ticket to NYC? You really must go there at least once before the end of your life! You, Beth and I could meet for coffee or go crazy and have a cocktail! I'll drive you out to show you the ocean. Our rental house really is quite fancy and you would be welcome to stay here for a few days, with access to a car (maybe the BMW Z3 sportscar!) Or you and I could grab a hotel in NYC. Pick a date! You, too Beth! Maybe next summer? Early? I am totally serious! xoxoxsoxoxox Kath
Mare, Beth, on further thought I think we should start the NY tour with a cruise on the Circle Line that goes all the way around Manhattan. Choose our spots we want to go from there. I stayed at the Algonquin last time and while I love the legend of it, the accomodations left a lot to be desired. I'll be on the lookout for a great hotel! Mare? Are you bringing Ole? ;)
Granny Lou posted on Non Stop Mom's blog a couple of days ago and it was an upbeat cheerful post, so I guess she is okay. Have no idea why she stopped posting here. Maybe lost the link?
Luvs, have you been to NYC? Boy, when we move to North Carolina I am sorely going to miss being able to hop up to NYC in an hour and down the Philly in less than that to take part in the arts! We sill haven't found a town we want to move to down there. The time is getting closer! Have a good weekend Ladies!
